"Mom, c'mon. We have to move to this place in Bacon Hills?" Lydia groaned at her mom, Natalie Martin.
"It's Beacon Hills." Natalie laughed. "And yes, we do. It'll be a good change."
'Come on, even my mom knows I have no friends here?' Lydia thought. She rolled her eyes and continued packing.
1 week later...
"SHIT, this box is heavy!" Lydia yelled, unaware of her neighbors that were listening. "Mom, can I get some help here?!"
"Sorry, hun. I have to be at work in 15 minutes." Natalie rushed out the door, placing a kiss on her daughter's forehead. Lydia laughed at the vision of her mother attempting to run in high heels.
Lydia was walking down the hall to her new apartment as something hit her. She immediately hit the ground, her belongings falling out of the box.
She heard a boy swear under his breath. "I'm so sorry." he covered his mouth and jumped to the ground to help her pick up the things that had dropped.
Lydia stared at the ground, her and the mystery boy were picking up old piggy-banks and jewelry. "It's fine." she groggily said.
Lydia looked up to see the mystery boy. She must admit, he's fairly attractive. He notices her gaze. "I'm Stiles." he says, holding his hand out to help Lydia up.
"Lydia." She smiles. She notices that he is wearing a navy blue backpack. 'School's already in session here?' Lydia thought to herself.
"You moving in here?" he asked. 'No shit, Sherlock.' she thought.
"Yeah, my mom has a new job here." Lydia mentioned.
"Well, I guess that makes me the non-stereotypical boy next door." Stiles laughs.
Lydia rolls her eyes and laughs with him. "You aren't wearing a backpack, are you thinking about going somewhere for school?"
"Yeah, we just moved here, so I haven't had the time to sign up for school. Where do you go?"
"Uh—Beacon Hills high." Stiles stated and Lydia nodded. "Speaking of, I better get going. I'll help you move after school." He smiled at Lydia and walked down the hall to the elevator.
The rest of the day was lonely and boring. She went to the grocery store and did a little bit of shopping and unpacked the rest of the day.
She heard a knock at the door and opened it. "Stiles! It's good to see you. I need some muscle to help me unpack." she bit her lip.
"Well that's great, because I definitely have a lot of that." Stiles said, holding up his nonexistent muscles. Lydia rolled her eyes and invited him in.
As soon as he walks in, he examines the whole room. "Wow. This is literally the exact same structure as my apartment."
"Yeah, except mine is messy because I still need to unpack everything." Lydia sighed.
"Honestly, me and my dad's apartment is probably way messier." He laughed. He put down his backpack and rolled up his sleeves. "Where should we start?"
"Well, I was unpacking practically the whole day, so we start nowhere. Let's pick up where I left off." Lydia led Stiles into her room, showing that about three quarters of it had already been unpacked. Stiles walked up to one of the open boxes in a corner of her new room and picked up one of her bras.
"Ooh la la!" Stiles said.
Lydia grabbed the black bra from him. "Put that down!" she turned around. "Dick." She said under her breath. She turned back to Stiles to see that he was sticking out his tongue. "Immature." she mumbled, smiling.
She heard a phone ringing, quickly realizing it isn't hers. Lydia hears Stiles say "Scott, what do you want?"
"I can't right now, I'm helping my friend unpack her new apartment." "Okay, I'll talk to you later."
'Friend... I finally have a friend!
Wow, this is a sad accomplishment.' Lydia thinks.
"Who was that?" Lydia asks.
"It's my best friend, Scott." Stiles states. "We were supposed to do homework together. He actually lives downstairs."
"It's fine, you don't have to blow him off for me." Lydia smiles.
"Hey... do you want to meet him? Figured you could use a couple friends." Stiles teased.
Lydia sticks her tongue out at him and follows him out the door and into the elevator. He clicks the button that says 3 on it. Stiles and Lydia lived on floor 4.
They walk out the elevator and she notices that Scott's apartment is the first one on the left. He opens the door, eating a bag of chips. Once he lays eyes on Lydia, he spits his chips out. He holds out his hand, gesturing that she should shake it. She shakes it and notices Scott's features.
He looked fit, not too muscular but not too flabby. Scott was tan and had black hair that was slightly gelled up. "I'm Lydia." She says.
"Scott." He says.
"So I've heard." Lydia laughs. He invites them both in.
"You go to Beacon Hills High?" Scott asked, not noticing Lydia.
"I'm considering" Lydia said. "Me and my mom haven't had the time to enroll me, but I'll speak with her about it when she gets home."
Scott looked at Stiles and did a dance with his eyebrows while winking. Stiles mouthed something like, "Scott, I already have a girlfriend." or something like that. Whatever it was, it didn't seem to affect Lydia.
"I better get going. My mom's gonna be home any minute." Lydia smiles. "I'll see you guys tomorrow?"
"Sure." Stiles said. "See ya." Lydia waved and walked out the door.
"She's hot." Scott said. Stiles blushes but Scott doesn't notice.
"I have a girlfriend, Scott! Lydia's obviously just a friend."
"You call Erica a girlfriend? She doesn't act like one. Have you guys even kissed yet?" Scott laughs.
"She's never even tried to kiss me. Not once." Stiles sighs.
"Hah! You're a lip virgin!" Scott says, making kissing noises.
"Shut the fuck up." Stiles rolls his eyes and walks out of his friend's apartment. Scott continues to make the kissing noises and Stiles flips him off.
