Louis' P.O.V.

Just yesterday I never would have imagined any of this, and now, sitting next to Harry at Stacy's bedside, I still couldn't believe it. I just didn't know what to say to make him feel better. He lifted the corner of his shirt to reveil a new tattoo. "Stay" I read aloud, allowing myself to process. The truth is, Harry had been kinda distant for the past few weeks - basically, since he had kissed Stacy. He had been very...private, about things. Most of the time he wouldn't say where he was going when he left. Though I asked him some times, I sensed that he didn't like answering so I let it go. But now this tattoo.

"Harry, did you see Stacy after you had said that you're going to back off?"

He looked me straight in the eye and hesitated, as if he was trying to decide if I was going to judge him.

"Yeah. Once," he said, lowering his head and his voice.

Hannah was probably on her way - apparently she was supposed to be meetin Stacy for breakfast or something. I had to tell her about the accident. Well obviously I didn't tell her how serious it was, but she insisted that she would come straight away. I wasn't sure how we were going to handle her presence here yet. I guess we would cross that bridge when we got to it. For now, Niall looked absolutely knackered and I had seen Zayn in better shape. We still had Stacy's stuff in the car - we hadn't dropped it off at her house or anything. So I thought that since Harry obviously wasn't going anywhere, Louis could take Zayn and Niall back to the house so they could have a shower and a little nap, and they could drop Stacy's stuff at her place. Her house-keys were probably in her hand-bag. I didn't like having to go through her stuff, but I guess it was okay under the circumstances. I was really worried about Stacy. I wish I could just go in there and wake her up, but I knew I had to take charge and do what needed to be done since there was no one else to.

Liam said that Zayn, Louis and I had to go home. And though I didn't wanna go anywhere, I needed a shower and I was startin t feel hungry. As we walked out of the hospital, I looked over at Zayn. I hadn't even thought about it before, but this was really hard on him as well. He and Stacy were quite close and I could tell that seeing her like this was eating him up inside. He doesn't like to show it much, but he's a soft guy on the inside. I offered him a side-hug, half because I knew he needed it and half because I needed one too.

As we were drivin, I was wonderin whether Stacy would wake up while we were gone. It would be a beautiful surprise if she did, but part of me didn't want that. I wanted to be there when she woke up. I looked up as Louis pulled into the drive-way and realized that it wasn't the right address. "Uhh, Louis, why are we at Stacy's place?"

"'cause we needa drop her stoff off. Loueh and the others picked it op from the police station this morning," Zayn explained.

"It'll only take a minute. You can sit here if you want," Louis offered.

"No. I'll come in."

We got outa the car and carried a few packets into the house.

"Maybe we should see what we can take for her," Louis suggested.

"The doctor said she can listen to music," I remembered.

"Yeah, good thinkin mate," Zayn said.

We looked around and Zayn found an old cd walkman. "I dunno if it works though."

I pulled a cd from her collection on the shelf and handed it to him.

"Here, try this one."

Zayn took it from me and placed it on the deck as Louis joined.

I browsed through the cd's looking for something that I knew she liked. Something slow and soothing the doctor had said. I finally found the one I was looking for, but when I opened the case it was empty. "I can't find Stacy's mp3" I called out. We'd all started to call it that since it seemed to be the only one she listened to. It was a mix of mostly slow songs; love songs, that sort of thing.

"Check the mp3 player," Zayn called back.

"Oh yeah," of course. It was her favorite so it must have been the last thing she'd been listening to. I opened the tray and checked inside,

but it was empty.

"No luck," I said, rejoining them. "Does it work?"

Zayn shook his head.

"Nahh, it's no good," Louis said, after inspecting it.

It's okeh. We can just use our ipods and phones n jus let her listen to songs from there."

I walked around a little and noticed a book on the coffee table. My Sister’s Keeper. Jodi Picoult.

I picked it up and paged through it, looking for a bookmark or something - some indication that she was still reading it. I flipped through it and didn't come across anything, but then I noticed a gap between the pages. I opened it up and found a semi-dry leaf. But it wasn't just any leaf, it was a clover.
