Louis' P.O.V.

It was already turning out to be a rough day. Niall was still upset and Zayn had gone to try and speak to him. I sat on the couch and let out a sigh. I pulled my cellphone out of my pocket and saw a text from Eleanor. She wanted to know how Stacy was doing, and how we were doing.

*Hey babe, Stacy's still the same. We're trying to b strong. Niall and Harry are takin it pretty bad tho* ‘I suppose we all are’ I thought.

I dozed off to sleep on the couch and woke up a good few minutes later. When I lifted my head, I noticed the little black boxes on the table. 'The presents from Stacy.' I wondered what was in it, but decided that I would wait until later to open mine. I picked the boxes up and shoved them into my pockets so that I wouldn't forget about it. 'I can give it to the boys later.'

Niall's P.O.V.

I was so pissed. I didn't even know at who. I had no energy to ask questions or even to vent. I just wanted to escape. I wanted to be left alone. So I had a shower and went straight to bed. Zayn tried to speak to me but I jus couldn't think straight. I told him to leave me alone and I think he understood 'cause he did. When we got back to the hospital there were fans already waiting. I was used to this, but today their screams just made my head spin. Paul helped me get through the crowd and I turned to see Louis behind me. He must have seen the look on my face 'cause he pulled me into a hug. "It's okay, mate. She's gonna be okey."

I held onto him with all the strength I had, just the way I was trying to hold onto the words he said. As we walked further into the hospital I saw the gift shop. I decided to go 'n get somethin for Stace. I knew she couldn't see it right now, but it was something I just hadda do.

I walked around inside the store for a few minutes. Maybe it was just because my mind was so unsettled, but I just couldn’t seem to find the right thing for Stace.

“I’m sorry, Sir, but I’m gonna have to close-up for my lunch-break now.”

‘Great.’

I looked around to see if there was anyone else in the store. There was a little girl with her mother. I assumed she was here to see her dad. She was suggesting a little gift for him, but her mom took it from her and put it right back. I walked over to see what it was and picked it up as the two of them made their way to the till with something else that the lady had chosen. I looked at it and could already imagine Stacy’s smile so I stood there for a moment, contemplating whether this was it.

“Sir?” I heard the cashier’s voice again, “I’m so sorry to rush you but…”
