Logan's POV

"M, mom and dad home yet?" I asked Melissa on the phone. The place Emily and I are stuck in, looks like a remote area but thank God there's a signal.

"No not yet" Mellisa replied on the other line of the phone. "Why what's wrong?"

"I need your help" I told Mellisa everything that happened. At first she thought that I was playing a prank on her. I had Emily talk to her and let her know that we are seriously lost then she believed me.

"Okay, okay I'll tell Josh" she said on the line.

Josh Bradford, Mellisa's boyfriend since middle school. Mom and dad didn't agree with the idea of Mellisa and Josh dating in such young age
during their middle school years, but they were inseparable

Time passed, mom and dad agreed that they will let them be with the whole 'dating' thing. But they have to consult them if they want to go out somewhere, anywhere.

Me, I'm cool with Josh we have a lot of things in common that's why we got along just fine. But if he ever makes Mellisa cry Imma find Josh and beat the shit out of him.

"Oh and M" I said before I could forget a tini tiny important detail "tell Jost to use GPS, never ever use a map, trust me"

I sat with Emily on the back of the truck. The sun was setting and surroundings got darker and dimmer every minute.

We watch the beauty of the sunset, enjoying nature's farewell kiss for the night.

"It's really cold out here" I complained, wishing we had a bonfire to keep us warm through the night.

"Yeah" Emily whispered hugging herself. I could tell she was really cold, she was constantly warming her hands and rubbing them on her arms.

I stood up and took my jacket inside the car and wrapped the jacket around Emily's shoulder to keep her warm.

"Thanks" she said. Dang, Her face was beautiful like an angel, in the faint light of the moon.

"This was fun" she smiled

"We're stuck, how can any of this be fun?" I frowned.

"Because we got to explore Lousiana together, annd now we're in the middle of nowhere, and I'm glad to have you here with me" she pulled the jacket tighter around her

"I wish I could stay here, anywhere far from people" She said looking up to the stars

"Why? Do they,.like mistreat you or something?"

"No, no it's not like that" she laughed, but her expression turned quickly solemn "I don't know, maybe because they all expect something from me" she looked at the ground and twisting her fingers.

"Really? Even your parents?" I asked with concern.

I have a friend named Jhon. His life quote was, 'never set people's standards too high, that way they won't expect anything big from you'. And it seems to work for him through the years.

She nodded "I-its complicated sometimes, I feel like they only care about business, family image, reputation and other stuff you wouldn't understand". Sadness was visible from her face.

Never in my wildest dreams have I thought that. Behind the pretty angelic face of Emily Anderson, hides more pain and problems than I could ever imagine.

It makes me want to comfort her, and hold her in my arms as long as possible. I want her to feel secure. and that she's not alone in her problems. God! I just hate seeing her sad!
