"Do you think that this makes me look fat?" I asked both Macy and Lyn, peering into the mirror.
I was wearing a beautiful white, silk wedding gown and both of my bridesmaids were examining me closely.
"No way! That's perfect, Lily!" Macy squealed.
"You can see the bump, though." Lyn commented.
"I know but that doesn't matter does it? Everyone knows that I'm pregnant." I answered, stroking my stomach.
"It does look amazing on you..." Lyn muttered.
"You should totally go for it, Lily." Macy told me .
I grinned. "I think I will but I need your help getting out of it."
They both laughed and helped me into the changing room.
For the next couple of hours, we bought matching shoes and a gorgeous tiara. I didn't need any jewelry as I would be wearing the necklace and earring set that Leo had bought me for my last two birthdays.
"Right then, we're all set for the wedding." Lyn said, as we drove home.
"I can't believe that you've been together for three years now!" Macy gushed.
"Yeah, it's been a heck of a three years." I muttered.
When we had first announced it to everyone that Leo and I were going out, news spread like a wildfire, people gossiped about me in school and things were pretty rough but over the next three years, things had died down.
My parents had moved into a smaller house with the kids, of course. Melissa had moved out soon after and got her own apartment with her boyfriend, Rick. Lyn had a baby boy who they had names James. Macy and Jason were currently together. Mike was the only single one amongst us.
Leo and I had moved twice over the past three years. After about a year of moving in with Leo, we decided that it was time for a change. So, we got a new house which was only slightly bigger than the previous house with an extra bathroom. I love the house but after about a year, we found out that I was pregnant. With twins. So, we moved again to a four bedroom house near the school were Leo was now working.
"Well, I'll see you two tomorrow so that we can get the bridesmaid dresses, okay?" I told the girls as I climbed out of the car.
"Yep, see you, Lily." Macy said.
"Bye, Lily, tell Leo I said hi." Lyn told me as I closed the door.
I nodded and waved as they pulled out of the driveway.
I was so grateful that Macy and Lyn got along. I was so nervous when I first introduced them to each other because I loved both of them so much.
I waddled over to the house and let myself in, breathing a sigh of relief.
"Lils, is that you?" Leo called from the bedroom.
"Yeah, it's me." I answered, following the sound of his voice.
"Come and see what I've done."
"I hope you haven't been naughty." I teased.
I walked into the bedroom which we planned was going to be the twins' room.
The first thing I noticed was that Leo was covered in paint. I couldn't help but laugh at him.
"Look around the room." He told me.
I did as he said and sucked in a breath.
Half of the room was painted like a soccer pitch with other masculine things like trains and cars. The other half of the room was painted like a meadow with flowers and butterflies. It was beautiful.
"Oh, Leo! This is amazing! I didn't know you could paint this well!" I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around his waist.
"Three years of being together and you still don't know me..." He teased.
I pulled on his shirt so that he could kiss me.
It was amazing that after all this time, I could still feel the sparks and the fireworks between us. I didn't it was possible but now they were far more intense.
He pulled away and looked into my eyes. "I love you, Lils."
"I love you back, Leo." I replied.
And I knew that with all of my heart that I did love him. I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this jerk.
