The morning sun crept up like second by second; its light shone on my eyes. It really annoyed my sight; the sun looked like a shining star in the peach-colored sky. I freshened myself up, brushed and fixed my hair. I didn't want the fringe of my hair to fall on my face. I put my blue shirt, red sweater, denim jeans, and navy blue tennis shoes. I put a little bit of cologne all over me, just a touch of manliness. I smiled.
I walked out from the bathroom, rushed down the stairs to the living room and found my red backpack laying on the brown couch. I carried my backpack, walked out of my house and left the door closed. My high school was a half of block away from home, which it isn't far but I get used to come to school early. I walked straight ahead on the sidewalk, then looked both ways to cross the road to high school. There are no cars on both sides, so I hurriedly crossed the road just in case if a car drives out of nowhere. I finally made to high school, walked across the schoolyard towards the entrance.
I walked to the second floor, walked to the right side where my first hour class was. I went to my math class in that hour. I sat on the desk in the very center, surrounded by other desks. I just can't wait for the next hour to go to gym and play basketball. I sighed of boredom, nothing to do. However, my teacher knows that I'm one of the top students in this class. I saw one of my besties, Kevin, walking in the classroom. He was wearing a white shirt with orange pants and brown shoes. He's dressed up nice but I wondered it would be a little early for the dance.
"Hey, Kevin." I greeted as he looked at me.
"Hey, Tyler." He smiled as he sat on the desk next to me.
"I have to tell you something to be honest." I spoke because of his nice clothes.
"What?" He giggled.
I know that he is bashful most of the time because he's not a showoff; unlike me. I was often obsessed with fashion. Well, sometimes I'm like him.
"You dressed up really well today, but...wouldn't be that early for the Saturday's dance night?" I asked him and we chuckled together.
"Tyler, I wear this without a purpose though." He expressed and we chuckled.
"Hey, didn't they announced about who will be the MC for the party?" I asked him.
"Not yet." Kevin shook his head.
"But I just can't wait for the party!" Kevin eagerly spoke.
"Boy...me too." I chuckled.
"Good morning, students and staff, we're about two days away for the big night! We all know that ourselves are anxious to know that who will be the MC for the dance, right?" The announcer spoke.
"Oh, I hope they will announce the mystery person of being the chosen MC today." I hoped; Kevin just chuckled.
"The MC for the Saturday's dance night is..." The announcer was ready to announce the mystery person.
Kevin and I were expecting for this moment.
"Isabelle V. Lorenzo!" The announcer exclaimed as some of us whooped for joy.
We were so happy that our friend will be the MC for the dance; Kevin and I exchanged high fives.
"Congratulations, you will be the MC for the Saturday's dance night! If you see Isabelle, just give her a congratulation for being the chosen MC. Just a reminder that the dance will be at community center; 7pm-10pm. That's all for today and have a great day." The announcer spoke.
"Boy, I know that she'll be surprised about it." Kevin chuckled.
"Yeah, I'm sure she's like, 'What?'" I laughed and put my hands on my both cheeks to be surprised like her.
