In lunch hour, I went straight to the cafeteria from the second floor. I always get used to rush down the stairways. I was carrying my lunch in my pink lunchbox. While I entered and sat down in an empty table, I was dazed by sparkling white, pink and red hearts hanging from the ceiling. Swirling streamers hanging on the wall like waves. I totally knew the dance party is coming, and I can't wait. I was waiting for my ten friends to sit by me. I opened my lunch, made all by myself. My lunch was a bowl full of rice with beans; my plastic bottle of fruit punch I made and a refrigerated apple I bought last week. A simple lunch could have a scrumptious taste. Suddenly, I heard that someone called me.
"Hey, MC!" A teenage, male voice called me and I spontaneously looked up, surprised.
It was Tyler. He and Amanda was carrying their school lunches, standing in front of me.
"Hey, you guys! Where's the rest?" I exclaimed.
"They're coming, though." Amanda spoke.
We looked at the rest of them, carrying their school lunches and walking towards us. I've never felt so happy to have them as close friends. I felt myself, my friends and our families are like a huge family; nothing comes close.
"Hey, did you guys practice the performance for the party?" I asked them.
"Yeah, we did." Kate spoke.
"We practiced every Wednesday right after school. We were thinking if you could practice in the singing performance with us today after school." Chase spoke and I nodded.
"Yeah, I'll be there. All of you guys have the copies I gave you last week?" I asked them.
"We all have it, Isa. Don't worry." Elias spoke.
"Okay, because I have it here in my pocket of my dress." I spoke; I took the folded paper out of my pink, floral dress and unfolded the lyrics on my paper.
I put the paper on the table so they could see it. I'm pretty sure that they're seeing their names I wrote on the side; we all have turns in this song.
"Good thing we all have to take turns of this song. Thank you for that." Tyler chuckled.
"Yeah, that was my plan, though." I smiled.
Suddenly, I felt something round on my head like I'm wearing a tiara or a regular headband.
"Congratulations, princess!" A happy female voice exclaimed.
She hugged my back as I can see her thin, fair-skinned arms below. Who could it be? I looked up and it was my short, blonde-haired friend Madeline. She was wearing a flowery, light blue dress and white flats.
"Hey, girlfriend! Thank you!" I exclaimed as I hugged her.
"You remembered, huh?" I chuckled.
"I did." She nodded.
"Can I sit here?" She asked.
"Sure, why not?" I spoke as she sat next to me in our table.
I wanted to see the tiara she put on my head.
"Can I see the tiara you put on my head?" I asked her as I was about to take it off.
"Sure. Actually, it's not a real tiara. It's just a headband." She spoke and I took the headband off from my head.
I looked at it and it looked so beautiful. The tiara headband was full of pearls and diamonds on top of each other. Also, the leafy designs are elaborate like a real tiara. It kind of looks like an olive wreath, used for ancient Greeks.
