Agnes's P.O.V.
"My first what!" I shouted. My heart was racing and I was shivering from my wet clothes and the rain. I stared daggers into Wes, his familiar devilish smirk traced across his lips, but the smile didn't reach his eyes.
"Mermaid, siren, they go by many names." He said speaking to me like I was a five year old. The crew wore smiles on their faces. They were thinking that I was a stupid spoiled little rich girl. And if they didn't think I knew that they thought that well then they were the stupid ones. I scrunched my face at him.
"That's impossible. They are fairy tale creatures they aren't real," I said confidently. He laughed. The crew laughed. I felt the steam going out my ears. I clenched my fists and set my jaw.
"Yeah yeah Princess whatever you say." His hand grabbed my wrist tightly,"c'mon lets get you out of those clothes highness." He dragged me back into his chamber and shut the door behind us. I was thrown again this time I landed on the bed. His back was towards me. I heard him mumble something.
"What?"
"Never do that again!" He shouted. I jumped suddenly frightened. He slammed his fist on the door. "Dammit Pearl."
"Alan," I said quietly. "The siren told me something, and I-I don't know if I should believe it or not." I folded my hands in my lap and looked down at them. I heard him turn towards me. "She said... That my blood smelt... Unroyal." I took a deep breath," Do you know... I mean is it possible for me not to me a princess?" I looked up at him. His eyes showed no emotion.
"Since you have seemed to have gotten into trouble and have spoken to your captain so rudely for the second time since your coming aboard my ship. I have no choice but to contain you in the hold until further notice" he said it with absolutely no emotion.
"A-Alan," I stuttered," I was scared, I didn't mean- I'm s-sorry I- please. Please let me stay here with you. I was worried about you when I went onto the deck. Please Alan." I begged him. His face remained emotionless but his eyes weakened.
"One more chance," he said quietly, "just one. Now you stay here and no matter what you don't come out until I say it's ok."
"Yes Captain" I sat up straight. My wet hair clung to my face. The shirt I wore did the same. I shivered.
"There are some dry clothes in the drawer, and try to get some more sleep before the sun comes up" he turned to leave but stopped before he walked through the doorway. "Promise me something," he said,"Never risk your life to save a pirate even if it's me."
"But you would've done the same for me Alan," I said.
"How are you so sure?"
"Because when we first met. You gave me a kiss on my cheek. That kind of kiss is only given to things you cherish. Friends, family, a little girl's doll. And no matter who you are. You won't let the thing you cherish get away from you so easily. You could've let me drown. But you didn't." He left. Slam! "At least that's what I hope you think Alan." I quietly said to myself.
Alan's P.O.V.
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. What the hell was she thinking. She could've died. I marched out onto the quarter deck. It was still dark but the rain had finally stopped. The clouds had cleared and the sun was just about to rise. The crew was cleaning up the deck. The crew. My crew. 6 men whom I've come to respect and who served my father on his ship before me or are the sons of my fathers crew. Cigs, short for Carlton Ivan Geraldson, has been my close friend since I was 7 he is now my first mate. Baxter Langston, my navigator, is the son of my fathers navigator. Toots is the muscle of our group everybody can fight but Toots is a trained and was in the navy before a indecent occurred that he won't tell anyone. Thomas Brisby is the newbie on board having only been on the ship for 2 years. He does most of the chores on the ship. Charles Owens whos grandfather worked on my fathers ship is the cook. And last but not least is a man of few words Doctor Sebastian Green. My crew, while the look like a bunch of misfits are actually a group of kick ass pirates.
"Cigs are there any repairs that we need to get done at the next port?" I asked my first mate.
"No Cap'n but what about the girl? What're we to do with her? it's bad luck to be 'aven a women on board." he said nervously
"We need her Cig, she'll be with us for some while. Maybe you can teach her how to listen to her captain she needs some lessons"
"Yes Wes..." Cig walked away to go control the deck while it took the wheel.
"Is there any bad damage?" a small voice said behind me. I spun on my heels.
Agnes's P.O.V.
"Is there any bad damage?" I asked in a small voice. Wes spun on his heels.
"Pearl I told you not to come out!" he started to raise his voice.
"You don't need to speak to me ask though I'm a child!" I raised my voice at him as well. I had changed into another one of Alan's shirts and uses the same belt. I tried to dry my boots the best I could but they were still a little damp. I had braided my hair off to the side and it was resting over my shoulder.
"Apparently I need to treat you as such because you don't listen!"
"Alan you can't keep me locked in side. I've wanted to do this since I was a child," I took a deep breath and said what I wanted to say, "teach me how to live like a pirate."
How is it guys??? Hope you're loving it!!!~Kassi<3
