"Hmmmm? What does hmmmm mean?" Nate said almost desperately.
"It means I'm not sure. I still don't completely trust you, I guess... and I don't want it to be awkward, you'd be my first boyfriend..."
"Ari. If your gonna say that then you may aswell just say 'no' and leave. I really like you and have for three years. But you can't see that, can you? Does it really matter that much that I would be your first boyfriend? Or am I still just a player to you?"
Remember the plan Ari, this is your shot. I thought to myself before turning back to him.
"Nate, can't you just give me a little time? I havn't seen you in like a year and now you're asking me out? Can't we just be friends for a little bit?"
"Yeah...I guess... we should probably get back to school. Class will start soon and we can't have little miss-goody-two-shoes late now can we?" He joked weakly. I laughed and punched his arm lightly before getting up and walking with him out to his car. The ride back to school was average. Nate didn't talk much, mostly just gave me sideways glances when he thought I wasn't looking.
"Right we're here now, I'll see you round?" Nate asked.
"Yeah, see you later." With that I hopped out of his car, waved goodbye and walked up the path to the school building.
I had Maths last period, so I made my way up the stairs to the first floor, where my math class was. Ivy was already waiting, at our usual desk, for me.
"Hey." I said. She looked round until she met me then smiled and replied with. "Hey, how was lunch and your free period with Nate?"
"It was... I don't know how to explain, I will tell you all about it after class."

Class was pretty boring so when it finished I was pretty glad. Ivy grabbed my arm and hurriedly pulled me out of the class down the stairs and out the doors of the building.
Olivia one of my best friends was waiting outside for us by Ivy's car.
"Hey Liv!" I called out to her. She waved and then started walking towards us.
"Hey guys!" She said and hugged us both in turn.
Olivia was my year and age. Because Ivy was a year older she had been at high school already for a year and had other new friends, so Liv and I joined the group.
Olivia was a average height girl. She had beautiful golden wavy hair that reached her lower back. She usually wore it in a ponytail, but when she had it down it looked gorgeous, like model worthy. She had bright green eyes and wore big black rimmed glasses, she suited them too. Liv was also super smart and was in some of the year aboves classes like me. Like I said benefits of having a smart, older best friend like Ivy, but Liv was also a huge study freak.
"So you want to come back to my place? We can study. I have so much to do!" Ivy moaned as we walked towards her car, she was our ride today.
"Ok cool." I said. And we all walked towards Ivy's car. I thought she had forgotten about the lunch thing and was kind of hoping she had.
"So Ari... how was lunch?" Great she hadn't forgotten.
"It was good... Nate asked me out again..."
"He did?!" She cut in before I could finish. "What did you say?"
"Ummm.... well technicality I didn't give a actual answer all I said was Hmmm... but I was going to say yes but you see I have this plan to get back at Rosa..."
"And what's this plan?"
"Ummm... well I was going to become friends with Nate and then more than friends because can you imagine how pissed Rosa will get? Do you know how long she's been hitting on him?"
