A few minutes later, we took our final turn and I found myself staring at the castle, but it definitely wasn't what I pictured when someone said castle. There were no towers or turrets; no stone or moats; not even a drawbridge. It was a simple building that seemed to glow, it was so white. The fence that surrounded it was a lovely gold color and accented it just perfectly.
Unlike other castles and palaces, this one was a single story, except for one small wing of it. It was spread out before us over what seemed like acres of land. The courtyard out front was very well kept with dozens of carieties of plants that were well groomed. The pinks, blues, and greens looked all the more brilliant compared to the glowing white palace that they stood in front of.
The castle itself looked as if it were alive. The windows were like eyes that revealed the bustling thought process that was going on inside, and the doors, which were huge with ornate carvings of what looked like a jungle, were the arms that opened wide to invite you into the tender, loving atmosphere that was to be found within.
We walked up the long, cobbled driveway and were greeted by many faces and most called out to Jon by name.
"How are you today, Sir Jon?" called one of the friendly gardeners
"Welcome back, Sir Jon," called the maids that were picking flowers.
He just waved as we passed and hurried me up the front steps and through the doors.
As soon as we entered the building, we were acosted my hand maids and I was pulled away from the only face I knew. I was forced into a strange roon that turned out being an enormous bathroom.
"Ok, time to strip," a strange woman said to me as if it was just another day.
"Excuse me?" I proclaimed, clutching my hands to my chest and backing away from her.
"You don't want to mee the queen looking like that, do you?"
"Of course not, but why do I need to strip in front of you?"
"Well, you have to bathe and I need to mesure you so why don't we kill two birds with one stone?"
"Measure me? For what?"
"Yes, so I can find you something suitable to wear. Or would you rather wear rags similar to the ones you have on?"
"Fine," I sighed as I began to reluctantly pull my clothes off. "But can you leave me in peace when you're dont? It's been a long day."
"Of course, but you can't be to long. You have an appointment to keep."
With that, I stripped and she took measurements of everything from my inseam to my neck. It seemed like forever before I was left alone to soak away my pain.
I was determined not to cry yet, but it was harder that I thought it would be. Sooner that I had hoped for, someone was coming to tell me that I must hurry out of my bath and get ready to meet the queen.
"But no one brought me anything to wear. How am I supposed to get ready?" I asked before the handmaid could rush out of the room.
"Step through the door behind you and you'll be given the proper attire," she told me as she looked at me like i was dumb. With that, she rolled her eyes, shook her head, and rushed through the door she had entered from.
It took me a minute to gather enough strength to just trust the girl. As I opened the door, she had pointed out, I was mortified. It revealed a room full of people bustling around and paying me not attention in my towel.
After standing there, frozen to the spot for a few minutes, the older woman who had taken my measurements rushed up looking flustered.
"Where have you been? I sent someone to fetch you sometime ago," she said as we walked through the bustling rrom.
"I was just told to go through that door like two minutes ago," I said in a quick retort. "Why are you in such a rush?" I exclaimed as I pulled my arm from her viselike grip. "You're hurting me, for one, and I don't even know your name, so why should I trust you, for two?"
"My name is Aggie. I will be your seamstress and head maid while you're here, so get used to seeing me. I've lived in this castle my whole life and I know everything that goes on around here so don't try to get anything past me, ok? Is that good enough or do you need a detailed account of my whole life to trust me?"
"I guess, but where are you dragging me off to now?"
"A seperate room. Unless you like being nake in front of people, then it can be arranged for you to dress here," she said with a wicked smile on her face.
"Oh no, let's go." I said as I turned the tables and began to drag her in the direction we had been headed.
Aggie just chuckled and directed me to where we needed to go.

As we entered the seperate room, I marveled at the luxurious gowns that lined the walls.
"Whose are these?" I asked with wide eyes.
"Mostly the queens, but a few are on loan from others of nobility or high status. One of then, though, is yours. I made it for you while you bathed. Can you guess which one?" Aggie told me as she ushered me to a podium that was surrounded by as 3-way mirror.
"Wait, you made me a dress in the 20 minutes I spent in the bath? Not possible. None of these are mine."
"Yes, it is possible, when you're me. I've been doing this a long time so I can work some magic, when necessary. Now you still have to guess which one."
I stared around the room in search of something that looked like it would fit me. Out of everything, only one dress really jumped out at me.
"The emerald greed halter top with the gold beading and brocade, right?" I said with a twinkle of hope in my eyes.
"Almost, but not quite. Look one dress to the right dear and you'll find your dress. A good ruby red coler with silver beading and a large bow to accent your ample bosom."
