*Ally's pov:
I woke up I'm a warm embrace. I look over up and see Dinah holding me. I was having a panic attack last night and she had to comfort me. I just sigh and burrow deeper into the warmth. After a while, I hear her start to wake up. She yawns and looks down at me. Knowing I'm awake, she starts to tickle me. I squeal and start to laugh. "Ok ok you win!" I say gasping for breath. She looks down and smirks at me. "A nice birthday wake up don't you think?" She said say with a laugh. I looked at her surprised. "It's your birthday? I'm sorry I didn't know. Happy birthday." I said innocently. Dinah smiled at me and we got ready. She has a softball game today. The biggest game of the season. I wish I could watch it, but I have to work today. I hate my job but hey I pays the bills. As we arrive at school she thank me and run off to see her friends.

As we are finishing the day I'm rushing to the gym. I gotta get the warm up started, because I'm the captain. My team depends on me. We get out to the field and see the other team, Knoxville high. We beat them easily, 35-24. As my team and I pile into the car, we head to the nearest restaurant. We pile into the hall and wait. "Hello welcome to Heath's bar and grill. My name's Ally and I'll be your server. D-Dinah?" Ally asks looking up. I smirk at her. "Table for 12 please." I say walking behind her. After we order, we are sitting there talking to each other, when there's commotion at the other table. "Well I think I'll have a little bit of you to start out." Some drunk guy said while grabbing Ally's wrist. "Sir, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ask you to leave. We don't tolerate intoxicated people." Ally said shakily. "I'm not going anywhere unless your in my passenger seat." He said smirking. Grabbing her arm again he pulled her into his lap. She was trying to get loose but nothing was working. I was beyond pissed at this point. I got up and walked over to her. "Hey are you ok? She shakes her head no. I tap on the guy's shoulder and he turns around. Yea I'm gonna half to ask you not to that. Ok thanks." I smirk at him. Grabbing Ally quickly while he was confused, I pulled her close. Mmm. My wolf is happier. I turn back to the man, who is now caught up. He gets angry at Ally with me. Standing up he takes a swing but stumbles. I take that opportunity and punch him. His jaw make a crunching noise. He looked at me shocked. "Whatever. You don't look like it would be worth it." He says slumping out the door. "Are you ok? Did he hurt you?" I ask turning to her. She shakes her head and hugs me closer. "Thank you. That happens sometimes but not that bad." She said in almost tears. After a minute she goes back to the kitchen. Bringing our stuff to us she thanks me again and leaves. "What was that?" Lauren asks. "That was an asshole begging to be beaten by me." I say. We finish and pay for the night. I leave a big tip for Ally. She shouldn't have to deal with that at work. I started thinking of that happening often, found myself fuming. We get home and I pull Lauren up to my room. "Alright we need to talk. Does that happen often? The harassment at work?" I ask her. She shrugs and nods her head. I get mad quickly. "Why do you care? Your her harassment at school. Why care now?" She asks. "I don't know. She just makes me care. I can't explain it." I sigh. "You don't think-" "no she can't be. And besides even if she was we couldn't be together. I treated her like shit, she hates me. I'll get over that fact." I say with a shrug. She gives me a hug and leaves me to float in my thoughts. That isn't ever a good thing to have happen. I hop into my bed and turn off the lights. For 3 hours I tried to go to bed with no avail. It felt like I was missing something deep in me. I couldn't understand it, but I think if has to do with the mate bond. I sigh and decide to call Ally. I needed to check on her. "Hello?" Ally asked. "Hey it's me, Dinah. I just wanted to make sure you were ok. That man back there had no right to treat you like that." I say with a sigh. How could someone hurt someone like her? "Thanks. And really in fine. That happens. Having a bar close by isn't the best idea. And I needed to thank you for saving me." She said. I could tell she was smiling. "And also, I want to apologize for being horrible to you. I have treated you like shit since you started here. I don't even know why anymore. And I am going to change ok? I just needed to tell you that and hope you can forgive me." I say while hoping she replies quickly. "Dinah, you made me feel badly about myself for years. I worried about getting shoved into things, and getting hit somehow. But I like the real you. She's sweet and loving. I forgive you because I know you can be better." She said with a sniffle. "Oh no please don't cry!" I said. "I'm sorry. It's just a sore subject. I don't talk of it much."she said. Guilt wracked over me. "Thank you Ally. For everything. Goodnight." I say sleepily. "Goodnight." She said with a yawn. After that conversation, I fell asleep. Ally calms me. She's sweet and loving and caring. Taking to her just helps. So I fell asleep thinking of something that made me happy. Her.
