"Mom I really need to go back, so bye. Love you loads, bye. Muah"
I cut the call without waiting for a reply. Conversations with mom can be very tiring and so one sided. I looked around at my new cabin. This is my first job after graduating last year. I worked as an intern after graduating. And here I am working as a coder in my dream company. I shared my cabin with another person who I am yet to meet. Life is perfect. It just can't get any better.

"I need that f*cking program by three. You better debug it and have it ready for testing by three or your dead meat. Do you understand it you prick? Good." Click.
The call just got cut and I didn't even get to speak my first word completely. I thought calls with my mum was horrible but this is a whole other level. I don't even understand what program he was talking about let alone coding and debugging it by three. Heck, I don't even know who spoke. It's twelve now, I can code a program by three and lie to him that I debugged it. You can do it Nora c'mon, you- wait a minute, that isn't my phone. This is mine, that phone is in the other half of the table. That means that call was for the other person who should have been here. It isn't for me.

"Hey," I know that voice. I have heard it, the same deep voice with a rough edge. That- it's him, it was that guy on the phone. Shit, it's ten minutes to three.
"Look, I have no idea about that program you spoke about. I joined just today and I'm a newbie. You tell me what program you want and you shall have it by five. I'll even stay back to finish it up. I'm sorry, I-"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa." He chuckled, "Stop right there. Take in a deep breath, good, now let it out. Great" I followed his instructions without batting an eye. His eye a different shade of blue that I had never seen before, were so captivating.
"So, umm, hi, I'm Jeff Parker," he said holding out his hand to shake and I shook, "I guess we got off the wrong foot, I'm sorry. I thought it was Millie and I just went off, I'm just really sorry. I didn't know Millie didn't come today." I was noticing how he looks for the first time. He was short, like maybe five feet, but not a dwarf. His eyes were blue, but a shade that I had never seen. He was wearing a red t-shirt and a blue jean. He had dark copper brown hair that was messy. His t-shirt was three fourth sleeved and looked a bit odd.
"Your new, huh? I'm the senior tester." He said his voice deep and rough. "I guess you are in Lily's team."
"Yes, one of the coders." I said my voice a bit low. He was peculiar but captivating.
"Great then, I'm sure we will meet a lot. So bye, and sorry for the earlier incident."
"It's not a problem," I said genuinely. He flashed a smile before walking down the corridor. I just realised then, that I would have come of as such a rude person for staring at him like that. Shit Nora, where are your manners?
