Lexus

"Lexus sit. I need to talk to you" Lexus' mother says firmly as he tried to rush upstairs to his old room.

"Can't I'm busy. Need my laptop for work" Lexus says cursing the fact that he forgot the thing when he came to his mother's the night before.

"Lexus I am not asking you. I am telling you to sit your stubborn ass down so that we can talk about your real father" she scowled at Lexus and he felt like running.

But wait one motherfucking minute.

"What do you mean my real father?" Lexus' eyes narrowed into slits on the woman and he had a feeling he would not like this conversation at all.

"Baby. I... James isn't your father" Audrina says softly and Lexus felt anger build inside him like never before.

"What are you talking about mom?" Lexus asked in a deadly hiss.

"I... when James and I were together I..." Adrina took a fortifying breath and continued "I had a one night stand with a stranger and well along came you".

"Do you have any idea of what you are saying to me right now? Mom, how could you let me believe such a lie all my life" Lexus asked in disbelief.

Never would he have thought his mother capable of such deceit.

"Did he know?" Lexus grits out. His anger reaching new heights as his mother cried.

"I'm sorry. James knew but in his eyes you were always his. No matter what I said or did he found a way to provide for you" she says in between sniffles.

"I don't even know what to say to you right now" Lexus says coldly.

Audrina looked at him and wiped her cheeks.

"I met with Tina last week" she said, her voice still thick with tears.

"Why?"

"Because I wanted you back. Not that drunken zombie you were being" Lexus almost scoffed at her description of him.

"Baby do you know what this means?" Audrina asks her son and almost flinched at the scathing glare he turned to her, jaw ticking and hands fisted at his side.

"That you don't know who my father is and James March paid for your mistake all my life?" he spat.

Audrina swallowed past the lump in her throat.

"That too. Lex, Gage's birthday is next week. Tina and I... well we thought... you and him can be together" Audrina stammered out and in a whoosh all Lexus' anger seeped out of him and he could do nothing but stand there feeling all sorts of emotions, wishes and prayers that he didn't know which one to feel, to wish for or to pray for.

Fear. Happiness. Hope. Lexus just stared at his mother and Audrina gasped loudly going to her son as fat drops of tears slid down his cheeks, his entire body seemed to be trembling with restrained emotions.

Lexus fell into his mother's embrace with so much relief he feels as if the world has been lifted off his shoulders.

"I know how relieved you're feeling right now seeing that you didn't defile your brother and all like you thought" Audrina began awkwardly only stopping to giggle when Lexus groaned.

"Mom!" he sniffled and both of them giggled a bit.

"Well... as I said. Gage's birthday is coming up and Tina and I thought..." Audrina trailed off hoping Lexus would stop looking at her as if she's lost her mind and read between the lines.
