The Game Played Well

10. Let's Play Cards

      It was another normal, boring day at school, nothing really happen. I called the girl, still forgot her name. I'll figure that out later. She told me to meet her at this place in the middle of the city. She send me the address. I hop in my car and head straight there. 

I arrived , there she was in a dress and heels, and a little man in a suit. He really wasn't that little, but I was taller than him. I am 5'6. I open the door to the place and she wave at me. Like I did see you guys. I just smiled and walk towards them. I sat next to the empty sit next to her. No one said a word. I couldn't hold it in. "Afternoon." They said it right back. 

"Méiguī, is this the girl you was talking bout?""Yes, it is sir." Her name was Meigui, that was rose in Chinese. I love her name and the flower.

"Tell me about yourself." 

"M-my name is Esta Ruthie. I am 17 years old and a senior in high school.""That's all I needed to know Esta." He cut me off before I could say anything else. I didn't know if he like me or now. "When could you start the job?""H-mm. I could start today." I was shaking the whole time. This was my first job interview and job.

"That's great. Meigui, carry Esta to her workplace and meet me back at my office. "

"Yes, sir." Meigui replied and turn to me. "Follow me Esta."

She took me to this back room where there were cards on every wall. The office was right behind the nice food place. What a surprise. She walked me around the room and told me history about each other. Like this is from 1897, 1678, 1876, 1998, the first card to be made out of actual gold. They really have alot of time on their hands to actually collect all of these. She told me all I have to do is make sure everything is the way it is and nothing is out of place. There was card tricks playing on the TV above me. This place was quite cool. She told me good luck and left. I was here alone.

I just walked around and admired the cards and the arts that were on them. Each one was hand drown and design. Some of these card cost about $500. It was really amazing. The door bell rang, every time someone enter. This was the first person who came . He walked in very quiet and creepy. Like he doesn't look okay, like he was after someone. I walked to him and introduce myself. He was looking to bet on a card from 1865. Those cards were $1,290. Why would someone want to pay so much on cards? I hand him a paper and he wrote down his name. I put down the name of the card on it and put it in a box. I think this box would be use for later when they play cards.

The time is passing and I went on break and talk to Steve. I miss his kisses and his touch, I was at work. Break was down and a group of guys walked in and went though the door Meigui came thought with me. I don't know if they could do that, but it seem that where they play the game. It was 5 guys and they sat around this table facing each other. They had their game face on. My boss called me to get the card from 1865. I did and the box. I wonder what else was in the box, than just the paper I wrote on.

I came out with the cards and one guy took it out my hand. He most be the shuffler. He took the cards out the box and the design was so incredible. He started to shuffle the card it was perfect. He handed out the cards to each player evenly. The first person took a card out of the deck and lay it down on the table face up. This wasn't a game of poker, they had their own game. It was confusing, the game finish so fast. Less than 30 min.

One guy in a blue sweater jump up and was yelling. "I WON!!!!!!" The other three guys left so fast of shame and the winner just stayed. "You have won, what you your prize be?" Meigui asked. The guy looked at me and pointed at me. I laughed and ask him do you mean the box of cards. He shook his head no. "Meigui his this guy serious?" I was just shock I was for bid.

Meigui spoke to the guy in Chinese and by the way the guy's eye stop looking at me, I know she told him I wasn't an offer. He choose the cards and money and left. I went to Meigui before getting ready to go. "Can they just say anything they want and get it?"

"Yes, they can, Esta." "Why?""I don't know, but that's just how the game is played. Don't worry you are not for bid, until you bid yourself off.""That would never happen."She laughed and say her goodbyes. I had to go home it was almost midnight. I pack up my self and just can't see why this dude would choose me. Like what was going to happen if, I agreed. He might wanted sex or something, even if he pick me and agree, that wouldn't happen.

First day at work and I was already for bid. That's crazy. Like why would he want me. Am Steve's girlfriend. I still happening answer him about the sub and dom conversation. I assume since am with him, he think I automatically said yes, so am just gonna keep it as that. I was going to say yes. On my way home, I called him and talk to him and told him what happen. He was getting me. "IF THAT GUY HAD TOUCH I WOULD HAVE BEAT HIM UP!!" He wasn't playing he really would.

I laughed low enough he couldn't hear and change the topic. He ask what was my answer and I said yes. He was happy and ask if he could come over my house. See that would be great, but my parents are like over my ass. I told him sure anyway and told him to wait in front of my house until I got there. he was going to make it there before me anyway. He was closer.
