I sigh as the cold numbs my fingers, a cloud forming in front of me from a single breath. A bar loomed in front of me, the sign bright neon and it stood out in the early winter nights. I walk inside, greeted with a warm feeling.
"Kai! It's been awhile!" The owner greets and I roll my eyes.
"Please, I was here just a few days ago." I smile and sit down. I came here often, being an old friend of the owner, James, unfortunately, I'm not the only one who likes to come here.
"Fuck, you're here too." I hear his low voice and frown.
"I was here before you Sousuke, if you have a problem with that, I don't mind punching you." I inform.
"Honestly, you two never stop fighting. Why do you hate each other so much?" James asks.
"We've hated each other for so long, the reason really is lost to me now. Oh, but he gives me plenty of reasons to hate him." I inform.
"Same to you asshole." Despite what he says, he sits next to me.
"You both say that, but you continue to Vimeo my bar to meet." James sighs.
"Well, in order not to cause a scene at the university, we found a way to get out anger out. So whenever we piss each other off, we meet here." Sousuke informs.
"What do you two do?" He questions.
"Like we'd tell you. Anyways, I'm not feeling in the mood for something heavy, can you just get me your least alcoholic drink?" I ordered.
"I'll have the same. I'm not going to be drunk when you aren't." He mutters.
"Sober this time? That will be weird." I comment when James leaves.
"Oh shut the hell up." Sousuke grumbles.
"How'd you get here?" I question.
"I walked. It was your place last time, so of course I wouldn't bring my car." He informs.
"Yeah, I know, that's why I brought my car. So, after we finish our drinks, let's head out." I suggest.
"Fine. Man, if anyone caught wind of this fucked up deal, we'd never hear the end of it." Sousuke sighed and James returned with two sodas.
"You two honestly cause so much trouble, so it's weird seeing you two not trying to kill each other." James clicked.
"Well, we can't keep showing up to lectures with black eyes or skip work because we fought. Not like we need the jobs." I shrug.
"You're telling me. I should just quit so I don't have to deal with you." Sousuke comments.
"I'd love for that to happen, but it's not happening anytime soon." I sigh with sarcastic sorrow.
"Fuck you."
"Right back at you."
"Just drink your drinks and go." James sighs. We drink the sugar filled soda and pay for our drinks before heading out. I get in my car and Sousuke gets in too. The car ride is silent until we get to Sousuke's place, a small isolated part of Michigan. His closest neighbor is a mile away, and that unfortunately happens to be me. How it happened, no idea.
"God, your house looks like shit." I grumbled.
"Yeah, so does yours. Just get your ass inside." We quickly head in and take off our coats, gloves, hate and heavy boots, turning on the lights.
"So, who's turn is it?" I question.
"You know how it goes. You hate topping." Sousuke smirked as he put his arms on the wall beside my head.
