"Okay, make sure you get lots of rest over break. I wouldn't want any of you to get sick. And Suki, make sure you buy Izumi a gift." Suki smiled and nodded.
"You seem to be in a hurry, got a date?" He questions.
"Ms. Jackson boldly asked me out." I inform with a chuckle.
"Have fun yourself then, but not too much fun!" The students were basically giggling as they left. I was still packing up and I didn't notice Sousuke had walked in.
"Oh, I didn't notice you walked in." I comment as I finding packing my stuff. I turn towards him. "I really hope we can get along better in the future."
"So, that's it?" I tilt my head in confusion.
"Huh, I don't catch your drift." I comment.
"Every Friday we meet at the bar." He began.
"I can't keep doing what we've been doing while dating someone." I frown.
"That's not what bugs me. the fact that you don't know makes me irritated. You know what? Fine. Let's go back to being full on enemies. Until you figure out what has me so pissed, that is. Have fun on your date." He leaves without another word and I shrug, getting the rest of my stuff and heading out, seeing Ms. Jackson waiting outside. She had a red scarf around her neck and a blue hat. Her jacket cling to her body and a few blond strands of hair cascaded over her shoulder. My Amber brown hair was no match, and her hazy green eyes similar to my own we're off in a daydream.
"Emma!" She looked over. Emma Jackson and Kai Anderson. Emma Anderson. I liked the ring of that.
"Kai. Ready to go?" She questions.
"Are you ready for a walk?" I question. She smiled softly.
"Of course I am." We begin our walk on the thinly covered sidewalks, footprints left behind in our wake.
"I've never been on a date before. What about you?" I question.
"A few, but none of them have been as cute and kind as you." My cheeks heat up as we continue to walk.
"That's sweet of you to say." I get out.
"So, what's your family like? I'm really curious." She questions.
"Well, both my parents are still together and they're quite stubborn. I have a little sister and a little brother. My sister just entered her first year of college and my brother is in his second year of high school." I informed.
"I only have an older brother. He's quite overprotective. Uh, he works under some rich family in the game industry." She comments. I smile awkwardly. I couldn't bring myself to admit that's my family.
"What about your parents?" I question.
"It's just my mom. My dad passed away a few years ago. He was a heavy smoker." She informed.
"That sounds terrible. I'm sorry for your loss." She smiles at the ground.
"It's fine. Thanks. You seem quite smart, why'd you want to become an English professor?" She asks curiously.
"Ever since I was little, I grew up around books. They piled up around me and I loved them. I was always entranced by things my English teacher would tell us. I grew up wanting to show the wonders I knew to other people. I became an English professor against my parents wishes to inspire young minds, and I really do love my job." I admit.
"That's really touching. I only became a professor so I would be able to have access to the lab here." Emma chuckled.
"Being a chemistry teacher must be fun." I smile.
