3. Bad News

Elena's POV:
I wake up and check my phone, it was 6:20 and I have school today, I got a text from Max a couple of minutes ago.

Max: I need to talk to you really bad call me when you wake up

I dial his number and call him.

(M=Max E=Elena)

M: Hello?
E: Hey, what did you need to talk to me about?
M: Just meet me outside of the office at school today, I have to do this in person.
E: Okay see you then.
M: Bye

I hung up and went to get dressed I put on a crop top that says "normal is boring", black high waisted shorts and tied a grey flannel around my waist.

I did a bit of makeup and put my shoes on, me, Weston and Mark ran out just in time to catch the bus.

We got to school and I walked to the office to meet Max, I got there and Max was waiting, he looked really sad "Babe. What's wrong?" I asked really concerned.

It took awhile for him to reply but he did eventually "You know how my mom wanted to talk to me" I nodded signalling him to continue "Well sh-she got a a-a job of-fer in New York a-and we h-have to m-ove there" he said stuttering a lot, I felt a tear roll down my cheek "and I have had a long distance relationship before, it just didn't work, we are leaving tomorrow really early in the morning so I am going to go home to finish packing. Elena I love you, but I have to break up with you, hopefully I will see you again sometime, but until then remember me and remember that I love you and always will." By this time I was full on crying, his moms car pulled up "Goodbye Elena, don't forget I love you" he got in the car and they drove off.

I fell to my knees and just cried until the bell rang, I walked to my first class and a boy walked in with Mark "Class we have two new students, please introduce yourself" Mrs. L addressed to the class.

"Hi I'm Mark, I am 15, I'm from Pennsylvania but staying here for three months while my parents are in England, I'm staying at Elena and Weston's house while I am here." Mark smiled at me and the rest of the class stared at me, I just waved and looked down at my desk.

(let's pretend he is 15)
"Hi I'm Jacob, I am 15, I moved here from Virginia because my mom got a job here and yeah" he said, he's kinda cute wait not kinda really cute.

"Okay, Mark and Jacob you can sit in the spare seats at the back" Mrs. L pointed to the spare seats on either side of me.

They both sat down and Mark and I started to pass notes.

M-What's wrong u look rly sad??
E-Max and I decided to break up bc he is moving to New York.
M-Oh I'm so sorry..... Wanna get ice cream and hang out at the park after school?
E-Sure. I'm pretty sure we have our last class together so that works well.
M-Sweet. Do we invite the new kid?
E-Idk what do u think??
M-Might as well make him feel welcome.

We stopped passing notes and actually focused on class.

We were in our last class and luckily Jacob was there too, me and Mark walked up to him "Hey" we said at the same time "We are going to get ice cream then hanging out at the park after school and we were wondering if you wanted to come with us" I said to him "Yeah sure" he said back "Mark we should probably tell Weston" I giggle "Yeah" Mark said also giggling.
