Ava's P.O.V

That's strange, I had just told Skylar that we are going to travel to the concert with The Vamps as long as I get permission from my dad, yet she just sat there with a blank expression as if I hadn't told her the most exciting thing ever.

"Sky, did you hear what I just said?" I sighed unsure of what was wrong with her. It was unlike Skylar to act like this, she would normally have jumped up and down squealing with excitement just thinking of this. "Yeah of course I heard you." She replied with a slight smile that I knew straight away wasn't a real one. "But what if your dad doesn't allow us to go with them?" she questioned me.

"Them tickets were a birthday present, he can't just say no, I will be mad if he does." Right after I said that I was interrupted by my dad, "Who can't say no?" Oh gosh this is the part where I have to ask him.

I stayed quiet because I really didn't know how to get this point across to my dad without him being so over protective over me. "Hi, ermm Ava's dad..." James spoke up, he always seemed to help out in times of awkwardness. "We were thinking, and if it is okay with you, Ava and Skylar could travel with us to the concert while you get your car sorted out? We will look after them and they will stay with us until you are able to get to Scarborough." James blurted out.

"I don't think that can happen, I know you mean well boys but I am responsible for the girls and if anything happens then I wont be there. I need them to stay with me at all times." My dad explained.

This was my time to join in, "Dad you can not do this to me, do you even understand how long I have been waiting to go and see McFly and The Vamps perform? We would have been going to the concert alone anyway, I'm 16 now and Skylar is almost 17." When I said this someone moved, I turned my head slightly to see that Brad had lifted his head up from looking at the floor, his face held a slight smile as well, I wonder what that is about. "You need to stop treating me like a kid, dad." I continued, hoping to win this argument.

"Look Ava, I know how much you wanted to go to this concert, but I won't be able to be there if anything happens. Do you think Skylars's mum would like yourself and Skylar to be in Scarborough alone with strangers and if something went wrong, how would I explain that to her?" He almost shouted at me in front of everyone.

"Dad this is The Vamps we are talking about! They aren't strangers, can't you just give your number to Joe and get updates on us? I will call or text you every hour we are away to let you know we are okay, please dad just trust us on this one." I begged him in hope he would let us go.

"Excuse me, but we need to leave soon, are they allowed to go or not?" Joe asked James.
"Yes, they can go." My dad grumbled, he didn't sound happy with himself for letting us go, but he didn't want two upset teenagers moaning at him for the next few hours. "WHAT?!? YOU ARE LETTING US GO?" I shouted in happiness. "Yes you can go. I want updates every hour, make sure they have something to eat, I know they will forget because of how excited they are." He turned to Joe. While they exchanged numbers we got our bags and banners from the car with the help of Connor and James.

Skylar and I took a moment to step away from the boys and have a silent happy dance, she seemed to have cheered up quite a bit now, however I would still have to find out what was wrong with her later.

After Having our little outburst of happiness we made our way over to my dad. "Thankyou so much dad!" I hugged him and then we headed over to the van, James opened the door for us. "Ladies first." He smiled, he was so attractive face to face and if he wasn't in a band I reckon we could be good friends.

Sky and I got into the van, followed by the boys. There was so much space and there was an xbox in here, well this Is going to be a fun journey I thought.
