Damon and Bonnie are the fun aunt and uncle who are best friends and soooo in love with each other (painfully so), but somehow aren't together yet? They both come over every holiday, Bonnie always comes early to help Stefan with the cooking (Elena just chops up vegetables since she's still completely hopeless when it comes to cooking) and Damon always keeps the conversation going at dinner time by bringing up old stories of Salvatore brotherly fights, while also sharing memories about that awful dark time that no one but Damon talks about (aka the time when mom was confused and dated uncle Damon for a couple years) but always manages to make people laugh through the uncomfortableness. Then one Christmas Eve, after all the grown ups have had a little too much wine and start singing Christmas carols at the top of their lungs, you notice that aunt Bonnie and uncle Damon are no where to be found. You sneak away from the crowd only to find them making out in the dinning room. You freeze and they see you, immediately jumping away from each other and promising you that "ITS NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!" only for you to say "Well it took you long enough". They start coming to family holiday dinners together from then on out. :)
