This was translated from Arabic, written on the third of July 2014:

"On the sixth of October 2016, I was afraid I was going to miss my first week in college, then my friend told me not to worry as the first week isn't very important.

Now, I'm afraid I'm going to miss the first week of the following college year.

On the sixth of October 2013, we all prayed together. Someone wondered sarcastically who's going to pray with us in Ramadan –it was ten months away-. We all laughed because that was impossible saying' Ramadan is far away, and of course we will get out because we did nothing.'

On the night of Eid El-Adha*, we said they will sure let us out. There isn't for sure so much cruelty and coldness as to keep people away from their families on a feast when you are sure they did nothing.

Now, we are still wondering if they will let us out but before Eid El-Fitr.

When we were first imprisoned we would wonder if they will put us in jail for a year or so and if we will wear the blue jail suit. We laughed then of course because that was impossible.

Now, we pray that we won't be executed.

When I was first arrested, I was afraid that I was going to miss my first year in college.

Now, I don't know if I will even get into college.

When I was arrested, I loved Egypt.

Now, I still love her but She doesn't love me back."

* Eid El-Adha: is one of the two feast muslims have. It comes about two months after Eid El-Fitr.
