There was a long pause of tense silence before I spoke. "What do you mean?" I asked in a voice that was almost a whisper. I felt as if my fear was radiating off me.

"Hey I'm not going to hurt you. You just need to tell me what is making you avoided me. Maybe I can fix a misunderstanding." He said his voice was calming. The way he spoke made some of the fear dissipate but most of it was still there.

I looked up at his face for a second before looking away again. "Um, I saw your pointy ears and teeth. I mean I must be imagining things but then again what if I didn't. I got scared that you would attack me and drink my blood or something. I don't know."

There was a pause. A very long pause before he spoke again. "Wait. You think I'm a vampire." His voice was confused and it sounded as if he wanted to laugh.

I continued to look down and fiddle with my thumbs. "Yeah your canine teeth are sharper then normal and that's what I think of. The pointy ears were a bit weird to be a vampire thing but its not as weird as sparkling in the sun or something. I don't know. Maybe I was jumping to conclusions."

A laugh resonated from his chest as I finished speaking. I looked up surprised and his laughter stilled and he spoke. "No I'm not a vampire. You were right about the pointy teeth and ears though. It's a bit different from vampires though. My real name is Lucifer. Most people on this planet call me the Devil." When he reveled this information I took a step back, startled. He quickly held up his hands. "No. No. You don't need to be afraid. I'm the good guy. It might be hard to understand but the religion of Christianity is wrong. It's a bit of a lie created by the mastermind who calls himself God."

The expression on my face must have told him that I was still confused and afraid because he kept talking. "Look we are a separate race. We don't really call ourselves anything but we exist. Now I'm the current leader of this race and its realm and my brother doesn't like that so he's using the human race against me. It's my job to protect this realm and beings that live in it but my brother is making your people hate me. I promise that I won't harm you unless you attempt to harm me or my people."

His desperate attempt to calm me and help me understand was working. The look in his eyes was genuine. They were almost pleading that I understood, that I would calmed down. I took a deep breath and decided to trust him.

"Alright. I believe you," I stated. The worry in his eyes seemed to disappear. He sighed and smiled. I paused and the image of his ears popped into my mind. "Um. Can I, um. Can you show me your ears again maybe?"

He studied me for a moment before removing his hat and brushing his hair back with his hand. I looked at the strange and new shape of his ears for a moment before a single word flashed in my mind.

At the same moment the word flashed through my mind Lucas's, I mean Lucifer's, eyes widened. Instantly I knew I had said the word out loud and I instantly became red. "You think they're cute?" he whispered, surprised.

I could only nod as I looked away embarrassed. His hand brushed my chin, turning my head so my eyes met his. There was a moment of something I couldn't explain that was ended when lips pressed against mine. For some reason I kissed back savoring the kiss.

The moment lasted a second longer before we pulled away and I looked down. The heat filling my face was all I felt as if I could never look back up. "Why did you kiss me?"

A moment passed before he took my chin again. I was met with warm eyes and a smile. "I'm not quite sure why I did it but I know it wasn't a mistake." His thumb rubbed my cheek before his hand fell to his side and he looked up to the clock. "Come on Peach. I should take you back before one of you friends comes looking for you." He turned to the door.

I looked at him with a confused expression and tilted my head. "Peach?"

He turned back with a smile. "Momo is Japanese for peach. So you're a peach." My eyes widened at the explanation for my new nickname. "So let's get you back to your friends."

I nodded and we left the music room. When we arrived back the girls each had this large expecting smile on their faces. Lucifer showed me to my seat and thanked the girls for allowing him to barrow me. They each replied with something different at the same time making it sound like a jumbled mess. I shook my head and rolled my eyes at the girls.

He turned to leave but stopped and addressed my friends. "Is it alright if me and my friends have lunch with you ladies tomorrow. I'd like to introduce my girlfriend to them."

The girls replied with no hesitation giving him the okay. I was too shocked at the girlfriend part to think. Heat decorated my face again and I struggled to look up at my friends when the door to the clubroom closed.

"See I told you. I told you that he was going to ask her out." Kate said in a voice that was over excited. I was still surprised by the fact that I was now the girlfriend of Lucifer.

Taylor whistled catching my attention. "I bet your babies will be so hot they will melt steal." She followed that statement with an excited sigh.

I shook my head and laughed. "You are the weirdest person I have ever met." She followed with a laugh and soon we were all laughing. We laughed for a good minuet before the bell ending lunch rang and stopped our laughter.

I quickly gathered my stuff and headed to my locker where Lucifer was waiting. "Hey sorry about suddenly declaring you were my girlfriend without thinking about how you felt. So I'm going to ask this time. Do you want to be my girlfriend Peach?"

I blushed at the nickname before nodding my head and opening my locker. He smiled at me and handed me a pale pink rose. I looked up at him. "I want to walk you home after school if that's alright." I again nodded and he smiled. "Alright lets get to our next class." I smiled, grabbed my book and headed to my history class.
