Veronica
Making it outside into the cool night I walked to my car hearing a female voice calling out to me in the distance.
"Hey!"
I turned my head to look back only regretting the action. There it was some women running my way with I'm guessing her friend by the way she followed. I stood there waiting patiently with a smile as the two women grew closer.
From the looks of it she had been crying the way her eyes were red and puffy. I stood looking at her as she looked back at me as if waiting for something.
"Hi my names -
"Bitch I could care less what your name is all -
Before the woman could finish a familiar guy came running our way yelling what I assumed was her name.
"Tiffany just come home baby." He said grabbing her arm only for her to yank away.
"Chance shut the hell up." She yelled then turned back to face me.
"Oh I knew you looked familiar. Long time no see huh? Chance. "I smiled as my phone began to ring.
"Hoe don't speak to my husband."
"I'd appreciate it if you not call me that the names Veronica, Roni for short." I said as it became more and more difficult to keep the smile on my face.
"I'd appreciate it if you not call me that." Tiffany mimicked me as her and her friend laughed while Chance just stood there watching.
It wouldn't be the first time a man has done that to me so I could give two fucks about him not like he did any good to me.
"I'm just calling it like I see it hoe. Opps I mean Roni." She laughed
"Baby just leave her alone let's go home." Chance begged tugging on her arm once again.
"Well if that's the case Chance I think you need to take your gold-digging wife on home now oh and don't forget her little bitch following behind her."
As usually I began to walk off leaving them in shock.
I have and do put up with a lot of things in my life, but people like her aren't one of them. I'm much better than women like her and I know how to carry myself. Apparently she doesn't or she wouldn't have approached me the way she did. Swear women nowadays don't have any type of home training.
I was headed home when my phone started to ring again so I answered it after seeing it was my brother.
"Roni?"
"Rodney what's up brother!"
"Lil sis what you got planned for tomorrow?"
"Nothing that I know of why what's up?"
"Mama wants all of us at church."
"What -
"Hell no if I have to go so do you. No if and or buts about it. I'll pick you up nine. "
He hung up before I could say anything else and that's when my phone started to immediately ring once again. This time it was Chance same Chance who wife had just got through trying to tell me about myself now look who calling me.
I answered it unlocking the door to my condo.
"Hello?" I answered in a questionable voice as I dropped my keys on the coffee table walking towards my bedroom.
"Yeah. Roni baby? I'm sorry for Tiffany she can be a little annoying sometimes. "He said in a whisper which meant he didn't want to be heard by his wife.
"What are you apologizing to me for she did no wrong to me besides disrespect." I said dryly getting bored with the conversation already.
"And you didn't disrespect her? "He laughed.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Me and you that's disrespectful to Tiffany."
"Actually not because we weren't having an affair last time I checked. Hell we've kissed one time and that was you kissing me that's all so if anything you disrespected her not me. "
He began to laugh uncontrollable while I put the phone on speaker and began to change into my jammies.
"Roni Roni Roni it was me kissing you but I didn't see you stopping me. Hell it must've been damn good because you kissed back and that went on for ten minutes. Bet if we hadn't been in the club I would've got some. "He laughed even harder making me roll my eyes.
"Whatever is that all you wanted?" I asked annoyed.
"No I want you what're you doing right now ?"
"None of your damn business, but if you really want to now then...
"Then what?" He asked sounding excited.
"Ask Tiffany good night." I whispered seductively then hung up in his face before he could respond.
A/N: I've added a picture of what I picture Veronica to look like. -tttears
