Chapter 5- Escape

Alex's P.O.V

I woke up to see nobody around me. I'm still extremely scared of them and being somewhere in one of their rooms just made me nervous. What happened last night made me wonder what was possible if I stayed here any longer, so without thinking, I walked over to one of the windows.

The windows weren't locked so I slid it open and let my legs hang over the edge. I was on the second story... just my luck. But I was going to jump anyways, I'd be free.

I pushed off the edge and landed on my ankle on the ground. I heard a cracking noise, but I definately couldn't let that stop me. I looked around me really quickly and decided on going straight foward.

I basically limped for a good five minutes, and I was almost positive that my ankle was seriously broken. It was hurting, but I had to keep going.

After ten minutes, my ankle was in an unbearable pain and I couldn't walk anymore. I sat myself down on a log and tried to rub around the break to make it feel somewhat better, but it wasn't helping. I let a few tears slip out of my eyes. I couldn't even tell where I was. I was in the middle of a forest with no ends.

As I sat there, I began to hear twigs snapping.

"Can you smell her?"

"She should be coming up somewhere around here."

I paniced and threw myself up. I began to furiously run through the forest, dragging my broken ankle along the way. I ran into thorns and branches, cutting the skin on my face and legs. I was badly injured at this point and I was on ends crying and fustrated.

As I kept running, I came across a pond and threw myself into it, wetting myself to try and rid me of my scent.

It was almost 15 degrees out and I was wet, hurt, and cold. I couldn't run anymore and I couldn't see due to the tears blocking my vision.

"I smell her blood, I think she's hurt."

"We have to find her guys, lets go."

I began frantically looking around again and even though I could barely stand up, I managed to get up and run.

I basically limped through the woods and was about to fall fowards before I was caught in someone's arms...Louis'.

"Oh my god...Alex."

"Louis, it hurts. I'm sorry."

"Shh, it's okay Alex, we gotta get you home now baby, you'll be okay."

I continued to let my tears stream freely and looked around to see the other guys.

"Louis, we gotta get her to our hospital wing," Liam said, frantically looking me up and down.

I whimpered quietly, afraid of anything associated with hospitals.

"Shh, you'll be okay, we're gonna help you."

"I wish I could help her..." Zayn whispered.

"It's not your fault Zayn, your powers can't heal her physically like that," Liam said.

And with that, we were off to where we started.
