The Disapearing Act

Chapter two

6 months pass and we have made three more videos together. We have keys to each other's flats because were over so much. It was about ten at night and I had decided to go to bed. I took out my contacts and put on my pajamas and went to bed. I closed my eyes an after awhile I fell asleep.

Dan's POV

I looked at the clock. it was about eleven at night. Piper must be asleep by now. her birthday is tomorrow so I was gonna surprise her with decorating her flat. I grabbed my key and things and went over. I opened her door and went in. I looked in her room to make sure she was sleeping. She was out cold. I quickly began setting up everything. after awhile I must have fallen asleep because next thing I know I'm waking up and it's 7. I quickly get up and clean up the stuff I didn't put up. I heard her waking out and I jumped out. "Surprise!" I cheered. she squealed and spun around so she wasn't facing me? "um I'm over here?" I say. "I know, but um I forgot something!" she quickly says. she then rushes to her bathroom and I follow slowly behind her. She never closes the door and I see her frantically searching for something. She grabs what looks like a contact container then looks up. I gasp in surprise. Her eyes weren't the normal brown but instead a bright blue! She sees me in the mirror and gasps. I turn and bolt out of the flat.

Piper POV

He ran out of the flat before I could say anything. And then I realise it. I just lost my best friend. I forget about the contacts and rush out the door after him. "Dan!" I scream not caring If I wake up my neighbors. I saw him leave the building! I continued running. "Dan!" I kept screaming. I get out of the building an look around. I see him running near downtown. I start chasing after him. He seems to be slowing down! he must be getting tired! I run the last few steps and reach him. "Dan." I say not out of breath. "Please let me explain." I begged. He turned and looked at me. "Why? You lied to me! Is your real name even Piper?" He says as a few tears drip down his face. I stay silent and he realizes what that means. "What is your real name?" He whispers. I take a deep breath.."Penelope." I say shakily. "Hurons?" I nodd my head slowly. "Everyone thinks your dead!" He says. "That's the point." I barely whisper. "But why?" He asks brushing tears away. "how much fame do you have?" I ask not waiting for a response before I continue. "do you enjoy the fame? it pretty great till you look closely. I couldn't go anywhere without someone finding out . And all the hate. oh my gosh there was so much hate. I have been attacked three times in public rest rooms by angry and jealous girls. does that sound like much fun at all? I decided I was done with fame. so in the middle of the night I hopped on a plane with two suit cases and a bag of hair dye and colour contacts and never looked back. but in all honesty? it was the best and worst mistake of my life. I met you and Phil, but I lost everyone else. " Right as I was about to continue he pushed his lips onto me and kissed me. I kissed him back. I loved the feel of his lips on mine it was like he was just trying to drown out the gasps coming from people around us. He finally pulled back leaving both of us breathless. "I needed to know if you were really my friend and you weren't lying. I love you, I fell in love with Piper but I really love you, whether your Piper or Penelope. But, you need to tel the world, it's wrong of you to leave your parents and friends in the dark, they miss you as much as you miss them." He said right as we had pulled away from the kiss. I knew he was right. And the fact that I was in love with my best friend made me agree with him even more.

"Ok, but if I'm going back your coming with me." I say after thinking for a moment.

"Deal." he said and kissed me again. "And by the way, happy birthday." He said, I smiled.

"Here, lets go back and I'll order some tickets, okay?" I ask. He nodded his head and grabbed my hand as we walked back to our flats. We got back to my flat and I ordered the tickets. It is currently 7 in the morning so I ordered the tickets for 8 tonight. He helped me pack then we had some lunch. Then we went over to his flat and I helped him pack. We had some quick dinner while we explained to Phil what was going on. He was angry at first but he cooled down and wished us luck. We grabbed our bags and got in my car. We drove to the airport and barely made it to our flight on time. "Go to sleep, I'll wake you up when were almost there." He whispered into my ear once we were seated on the plane. I leaned my head head on his shoulder and eventually fell asleep.

I woke up to Dan slightly shaking me. "Were landing in 5 minuets." He said. I Nodded and rubbed my eyes trying to wake up. The plane finally landed and we grabbed our stuff. It didn't take long to get our stuff and rent a car. The drive to my parents house was silent. I guess neither of us knew what to say. We pulled into their drive way and he looked at me. "ready?" He asked. This could change everything. I haven't seen my parents in over 5 years.

"I'm ready" I say. We got out of the car and walked up to the front door. I knocked on the door. I heard foot steps then someone opened the door. It was my dad. "Dad?" I say curiously.

"Penelope?" He says in shock. I nod my head and he engulfs me in a hug. "My little princess is back! " He says with excitment. I heard more foot steps then mom showed up at the door.

"Penelope!?!?!" She says with joy and comes to join in on the group hug. The only person missing is-

"Penelope??!?!?!?!?" My little sister Carrie says. I smile at her and she joins in on the group hug. I never realized how much I missed them until now.
