hot suns scorch dirty ivory sidewalks as people run and run, sweat dripping down their foreheads and onto their wrists. young girls cool down by hanging their heads upside down as they douse their scalps with lukewarm water, hair returning stringy with a dull shine. stars in eyes squint as they reach the atmosphere and dissipate into clouds of gore and strength–to run miles again and again seems like the perfect kind of escape.
lonely ones with their condensing water and their sun hats sit in the shade. they can draw elephants with worn hides and flowers caught in tree sap, but they can't manipulate their muscles into feats only they can achieve. singling out and sealed in voices were always something people never talked about.

I have a rant and since people don't like long ass author's notes feel free to skip this
I don't know if anyone has noticed the lack of response teachers have towards bullying. people[read: most schools] commonly associate bullying with throwing white boys into trash cans or some other shit, when there are so many factors schools like to ignore such as race, religion, sexuality, and disabilities.
tbh when I was younger I got bullied a lot and had a shitty childhood, and teachers never gave me any good advice or tried to stop the problem. I find it fucking ridiculous how they have both parties apologize to each other. it should be the bully apologizing, not the victim. they tell us to run to their useless asses to solve problems when that doesn't do anything, and they never mention standing up for yourself and your reputation.
I literally had one teacher say "tell him to stop" when I was in second grade. guess what happened ??//? it didn't work !! that teacher's "advice" fucked me up for the rest of my life. because of her lack of anything I can't speak in front of groups of people, I'm extremely self conscious, and I've been through (tw?) shitty moments that have lasted months. note that this started when I was eight.
I had to learn the hard way that you have to give an asshole a taste of their own medicine. if they're being rude to you, you sure as hell have every right to be rude right back to them. if they throw the first punch(make sure they throw it first, you don't want to have charges against you), you have every right to punch them back((just make sure you can handle them. I know that's sounds contrary to what I've been saying, but your own safety comes first. if you're against a group of people, the things they reciprocate can be dire))
feedback is great. if I said anything problematic please tell me and I will fix it !!
