Mother Moon
Is my second mommy
Like Quiet Place
She's there for me
Tonight, she tucks me in
Her silvery hands
Pulling the blankets up to my chest,
Because first mommy
Is still working
I don't mind
Mother moon
Is just as good
She's comforting, reassuring
She stays by my bed
All night
Her gracious glow
Keeping the nightmares away
She makes the monsters stay under my bed
But tonight,
Mother Moon is gone
Like first mommy,
She has other places to be
So tonight, all I see,
Is the black hole
Where she should be
And a million, billion stars
Who miss her as well
Now I have two empty places,
Within,
As I fall asleep
With my blankets up to my chin
