4.10 P.M

I dashed across the grounds, not caring who I pushed, who I collided with or who I left behind. Faces and surroundings, all melted away in the background of my insurmountable terror. All I could think about was Raghuvir's words and how the safety of my loved ones depended on my action today.

I knew I was letting go of something, but it was something I hadn't even found. For now, it was just a fancy hope, but...but my living; breathing family wasn't what I could risk for that.

I could already see the iron gates of AMA looming ahead of me and my course of action was clear. No one would see me. And I would be gone.

I raced ahead, the face of my little brother clutched close to my heart, hoping and praying that this nightmare would end when suddenly a hand clasped around my elbow and yanked me roughly to the side.

I squealed as my step broke abruptly and almost stumbled to the ground but she held me steady, looking at me dead in my eyes and all my screams died in my throat as I recognized her face.

"Nandini!" Nayva shouted pulling me by my hand, "What're you doing?!"

If had known from what or rather from whom she was dragging me away then I would have killed her. But I didn't and that made all the difference in the world as I spluttered to form a coherent reply through the disconcerted mess that was my mind.

"Navya! I need...to go...Raghuvir said...Rishabh...!"

It felt like I was fighting against the tide to form a simple sentence. I struggled in her hold, trying to break free while I gasped out words to make her understand.

"Raghuvir! He....he said...if I..."

"Shut up!" Navya said, "What's wrong with you?! Just come with me!" With that she royally ignored all my protests and started marching on her way with me fighting in her hold.

Oh God! Why wasn't she getting it? Why wasn't she getting the freaking urgency of it? This wasn't the time for talks and explanations! My brother! My family! They were at stake! And here she was bossing me around like she knew better than me.

"Navya!" I yelled my panic glistening clear in my eyes but still she didn't listen to me, instead her hold on my hand tightened.

My heart felt like it was getting clawed from the inside and soon I gave up my attempts to break free as the fear gave away to torturous frustration and angry tears spilled down my eyes.

Navya wasn't having any of it. She completely broke track from the grounds and dragged me inside a make-shift tent that was currently housing musical and electronic equipment needed for the fest.

The other OC members present there gave me weird looks as Navya pulled inside what must look like a squealing mad cat to them but she shooed them away with a glare.

I was shaking and trembling, anger coursing through me, the adrenaline in my veins still kicking and my legs protested as to why I wasn't still running when Navya pushed me down on one of the bean bags and promptly brought me a glass of water.
