Breaking Through Darkness

Chapter 4

Ryah's point of view:

Just as I finished telling Micah exactly what happened the police pulled up. Great. Once they stepped out of the car I started walking up the driveway to meet them half way. The conversation definitely did not go in the direction I thought it would.

Instead if being read my rights and arrested I was actually rewarded. Apparently the girl who I saved was Hayley who had been missing for 6 months, I was shocked because when I asked her what her name was it never clicked that it was the missing girl. Not minutes later did Hayley and her parents show up and embrace me in a hug. I'm not a big hugger but this was an exception, I brought their daughter back home and for that I was willing to except this hug.

They tried offering me money as a reward for bringing their daughter home but I refused to take it, money wasn't the reason I did this. I brought her home and saved her because she needed my help.

I ended up taking the money to please Hayley's parents only because they refused to leave without giving me a reward. Shortly after that they left and it was just Micah and I. I couldn't help but think that there is something more than just a friendship between us but honestly I couldn't just ask him after all that just happened today, that would be too much for his heart and I could never do that to him.

The next day I had to ride the bus. Great. Unfortunately with my car being in the shop and me being a junior in high school I had to attend the last week if school for finals and there was no one close that could drive me so I rode the dreaded bus and damn near got kicked off of it.

On the bus happened to be my ex best friends Jax and Laila who never were my friends in the first place apparently. They have issues with me that I try to avoid but when they start shit with me for no fucking reason I want to tear their heads off, I mean it's not like they use them anyways so I'd be helping them in a sense.
