Authors note:

Okay so this is my first time writing so comment what you think of my story and give me some ideas:)

The first part of this story might seem crappy to some people but I promise it gets better. Please at least give this book a chance. I wrote it a long time ago.

Sophia's POV

Hi, my name is Sophia Richards, I am 12 years old and I go to Richmond hill. All of my friends call me the sassy one but I just don't see it. My two best friends are Nayeli and Jenna. My life at home is pretty good. I have one sister and her name is Karen and I have step sister and her name is Rochelle. Karen is a half a year younger than me. I have never really loved school but I don't hate it either, it's just at times it can be quite frustrating.

Sophia's POV

RING RING RING

"Uggh" I groan as I crawl out of bed and head to the bathroom.

Today is my first day of school. Going into grade 7 is a piece of cake. I think.

I picked out dark wash skinny jeans and a "Come at me bro" T-Shirt along with some purple vans. I braid my hair to the side and put a bow on the top. I grab my bag and go down stairs to eat breakfast. I pull out a granola bar and started to eat it.

"Bye Mom, I'm leaving." I yell. No answer.

Well I guess she is already at work. I finished my granola bar and rush out the door. I was gonna be late and there was no way my mean old bus driver was going to wait for me. I got to the bus stop and luckily the bus didn't come yet. I saw the bus come to a stop in front of me so I stepped in. On the bus I saw my two BFF's. Then I saw my evil step sister Rochelle' gosh you don't know how much I hate her.

"Hey gurl what's up?" I called to Jenna . Her head instantly popped up from the seat and smiled when she saw me.

"Nothing much, you?" Jenna said

I was about to answer when Rochelle interrupted us.

"What are you talking about door knobs?" she scoffed

"None of your business so if you don't mind, leave us alone." I said with a smirk. She flipped her hair and went back with what ever stupid thing she was doing.

I don't see what her problem is. Just because my mom married her dad doesn't mean that she has to be such a party pooper. When I feel the bus come to a halt I look up from my seat and I see that we are at school. I get up and make my way out of the bus while Jenna and Nayeli are right behind me.

We make our way to the bulletin board to see what classes we are in. When I see my teachers name I gasp. I can't believe I got this teacher. Lets just say that she is the best teacher EVER. Well, that what I heard from the former students that had her. When I look at Nayeli her smile drops into a frown.

"I'm not in any of your classes, we are all in different classes!" she shouts, making both Jenna and I flinch.

"I mean this must be wrong, there has to be a mix up!" she yells again.

"Nayeli calm down people are watching." I say and point to the crowd that was watching us.

"Oops, sorry." Nayeli whispers. Jenna just seems to be in her own world and doesn't talk much.

We say our goodbyes and I head to my class. As I enter I notice that I am late. Frick! I hate being late because when I walk in the room everyone stairs at me like I just muttered 10 people. Like jeez people calm your eyes. Anyways I pick a seat beside a girl that I have known since I have moved to this school way back in S.K. I have never really gotten to know her. I don't actually have a reason. Finally the teacher walks in and the class begins.

"Alright, my name is Ms.Hoops. I am going to be your teacher for the rest of the year." She announces.

Ms.Hoops keeps going on about her and we all get to know each other when suddenly a boy walks in. He has bright green orbs(eyes) and brown curl hair. The teacher notices him and smiles.

"Listen up, we have a new student that is joining our class. Make sure to be nice and welcoming to him." He flashes a smile and the I see two dimples cave into his face. I'm not gonna lie, he is cute. Really cute.

"Why don't you take a seat next to..." the teachers says a she looks around the classroom. There is an empty sweat beside me and one in the far left corner. I could bet someone a billion dollars right now that the teacher is going to pick the seat right next to me.

"Over there, right next to Sophia." the teacher finishes her sentence as she points to the seat next to me. Told you. I would have been a billion air right now if that deal I made was real. This is gonna be a long day.
