Chapter 4

Harry's POV

I rub Sophia's back and lead her to the sofa. She looks at me and her eyes are bloodshot.

"What happened?" I ask worriedly. She looks up at me with sad eyes.

"My-y s-step sister." she begins but breaks down. Now she is full on sobbing. I really want to know what happened but I will give her the chance to calm down and she can tell me later.

"Shhh, you can tell me later." I coo into her ears. Her hands fist my shirt and she nuzzles her head in the crook of my neck.

This is really bothering me. Who would make her cry. I bet it's her step sister. What's her name again? Michelle? No. Raquel? No. Rochelle! Thats what her name is. I wonder what she did.

I look down at Sophia and notice that she is asleep. I brush a piece of hair out of her face. She doesn't move so I guess that she had a hard afternoon. I decide to watch a movie since Sophia is asleep. A untangle her from me and head down stairs. I look for a movie to watch and I finally find a movie. The notebook. I know that I'm a boy but I really love love stories. Haha love love stories, see what I did there? Never mind.

After the movie is finished I look at the clock and notice that it is eight o'clock so I rush upstairs to wake Sophia. When I enter the room I se Sophia. She is sprawled out on my bed and still asleep. I walk up to her a nudge her arm.

"Sophia it's time to go." I whisper. Her eyes flutter open.

"I am so sorry for falling asleep on you, I am such a bad friend." she cries.

"Don't worry you were tired and you needed to sleep, we can hang out another time." I re assure her. She smiles and gives me a hug.

"I am ready to tell you what happened today." she says.

"Are you sure?" I ask her. She smiles and nods.

"Today after I walked in the door I saw my Mom and my step dad fighting, as soon as they saw me they stopped and walked over to me. I asked what happened and they said it was nothing to worry about, so I believed them. After I ate dinner I went up to my room to study and bumped into Rochelle on my way there. I tried to get past her but she wouldn't let me. She started to say all these things about how I ruined their family and I should have never been born. She said that nobody likes me and that you only wanted to be my friend because I am smart." Sophia finishes.

That was horrible.

"You know that I would never do that to you Sophia. Right?" I ask her.

She nods. I don't know what else to say but if she doesn't leave soon her parents are gonna hate me. As much as I'd love to spend more time with her I can't. She can come over tomorrow.

"None of that stuff that Rochelle said was true. Believe me. It's pretty late so you should go now. Can you come over tomorrow?" I say.

"I know it's not true." She sighs "For sure I will come over tomorrow." She smiles.

I walk Sophia to the door and we say our goodbyes. I shut the door and go up to my bedroom. I get ready for bed the jump on the bed. Ahh. I am so tired. I fall asleep almost as soon as my head hits the pillow. Today has been a long day.
