Three Months Later
Michael admired Juliet's pink painted lips and the way she looked into her makeup mirror as she decorated her face with products she didn't need. He thought to himself how she used concealer and an endless amount of brushes to make herself more beautiful, though she was already stunning.
Her green eyes wondered in her mirror as she dusted her face with powder and made eye contact with Michael's reflection "stop staring" She giggled "don't look till I'm finished" she shifted her eyes back to herself delicately placing a reasonable amount of black eyeliner onto her eye.
Michael smiled softly "I can't help it, you're captivating"
"Me putting on makeup is captivating?" She asked with a laugh while brushing her lashes with mascara.
He sighed "yeah, sure" then fell back onto her bed and looked up at the rotating ceiling fan. He heard the sound of bottles being capped and makeup bags being zippered as she had finally finished her masterpiece. His mind started to wonder, like usual, as he stared at the spinning white fan and eventually he couldn't hear anything around him in the waking world.
Michael Clifford has been friends with Juliet Porter for about three months now. It all started when he took her into town for ice cream. Juliet was called into the bakery, along with Michael, where they were both forced to work taking orders and boxing pastries the rest of the night, never able to get their frozen treat but did get to know each other better. They've been growing closer ever since, but not in the way Michael wanted.
"Done" Juliet smiled and stood up from her vanity to walk over to her closet door and adjust her outfit to perfection.
She wore a black sundress that fit her at the waist and flowed down just above her knees. A jean jacket Michael gave her (since her boyfriend didn't particularly enjoy giving up his) covered her arms to protect her from the cold fall evening and a soft gray knitted scarf hugged her neck comfortably. She turned sideways and looked herself up and down, casually sucking her stomach in to imagine an impossible body type.
"Juls, don't even think about that for one second" Michael said still laying on her bed but noticing her behavior.
She turned around and looked at him "do I look okay?" Juliet asked.
Michael sat up and tilted his head to the right like a puppy who didn't understand the point of the question "no" he answered "you look stunning" he finished with a smile that made his cheeks turn a happy shade of pink.
Juliet smiled at the ground and swayed side to side making her dress twirl around her "thanks Mikey"
"Of course" Michael replied "so, where are you two going?" He asked, pretending to be interested in Juliet's relationship.
"Out to dinner somewhere" She answered, dancing around her room to music only she could hear. Finally she ended her performance at her nightstand next to her bed and picked up her phone from its charger "he texted!" She said excitedly, taking a seat on her bed next to Michael who scooted closer and looked over her shoulder to read what he had sent.
Calum: hello my love, I hope you're ready for the night of your life ;)
Juliet didn't even try to contain her excitement, instead she let out a squeal of exhilaration as she grinned at her phone screen.
"Well, are you going to reply?" Michael asked, putting on one of the best performances of his teenage career.
Almost immediately Juliet started typing her response.
