Last night Juliet Porter went out to dinner with her beloved boyfriend Calum Hood. The whole night was magical and similar to something out of a mushy romantic movie, but like all movies it came to an end..minus the credits and cheesy laughing shot of the cast.
Though her cinderella ball gown moment had been taken away and now she stood looking into the dirty girls bathroom mirror at her running mascara trying desperately to stop herself from crying; with no fairy godmother in sight. She closed her eyes and tried to imagine something that made her genuinely happy. It was quite a surprise that Michael Clifford was the first thought that came to mind, but she could care less at this moment.
She pictured the time he had tripped over his untied shoe laces and stumbled into an open trash can in the cafeteria. Though it was traumatizing for Michael it was funny enough to end Juliet's sobbing, so she knew he would appreciate her reminiscing.
To understand why the princess was in distress you'd have to recall Michael's fear of Luke Hemmings, or as the school knows him, the bad boy.
Luke Hemmings is a special breed of bad boy, he has the ability to break hearts and bones with the snap of his fingers. There's not a girl, or the occasional boy, around school who doesn't secretly want to be with him. Well, except Juliet. Which of course is the reason why he must have her.
The blonde haired and blue eyed demonic angel had whispered soft and sweet words into Juliet's ears until he realized these precautions were getting him nowhere. With that being said he snapped his fingers to break bones along with hearts, now poor Juliet was in the mixed of an elaborate lie created by none other than Luke.
"He doesn't really love you" she remembered him saying through his smirking smile "it's all an act, sweetheart" he put an extra emphasis on the last word spoken and reached out to rest his hand on her cheek "but if you were with me, I'd treat you right"
Juliet swatted him away "don't touch me and don't speak to me ever again!" She yelled "Calum's a good boy!"
Luke laughed mockingly "he's as much of a 'good boy' as me, he's cheating on you Juls, wake up and smell the roses"
Juliet shot him a glare "you're lying!" She screamed back, not caring that the two of them were standing in the middle of the school hallway as lunch was in session.
Luke shrugged "hey, it's your choice to believe me" he said sticking his hands in the air like he was showing her the only weapons he had were his quick wits "gullible" he mumbled as he pushed passed her with his hands in his black jean pocket.
The golden haired girl stood in the hallway as her thoughts raced through her mind faster than the horses at the Preakness. Juliet felt her eyes sting with fresh tears as Luke's voice echoed through her ears. She decided to retreat to the bathroom, it was better to break down in there rather then out in the open for the yearbook staff to take a snapshot of.
So here Juliet was now, still closing her eyes and thinking of the time Michael had tripped into a trash can brining a smile on her face. Her good thoughts were interrupted by someone opening the girls bathroom door.
"Hey Juls.." Her friend Celeste said sympathetically as she pushed open the door slowly.
Juliet looked over to her with red watery eyes "hey" she said sadly.
"Luke told me what happened and..aww Juls" Celeste opened her arms to hug her "Calum's not cheating on you, don't let that horrible Hemmings get inside your head" she said patting Juliet's back like her mother would do during a thunderstorm.
Juliet backed away from her comforting hug and nodded.
"Now, let's fix your makeup and get you on your way" Celeste smiled wiping Juliet's running mascara with a tissue from her purse.
