The Bridge

Chapter 13 part 3 (Rain)

Today is Sunday. Sean and I supposed to have a date today, but we had a fight. So today, I will just spend the whole day watching anime and reading Manga. Ha ha ha.

 “Graciel, someone is here for you.” My mom said.

 I walked down the stairs and opened the door. It is Shane and Jane.

“We heard from Jacob.” Shane said.

“Let’s have fun today.” Jane said.

I hugged them and said “thank you.” …. I changed my clothes while they were waiting for me in the living room. I went downstairs wearing a white dress and a cute doll shoes.

 “ You look great.” Shane said.

 “What are you? My boyfriend?” I said while laughing.

We went to the mall and bought a lot of clothes. We were so tired so we went to a coffee shop. We sat on the table were the restroom is near. I ordered a chocolate parfait. I remembered my first date with Sean.

  I can’t stop my tears falling.

 “Are you alright? Don’t cry.” Jane said.

 The two of them looks so worried.

 “I don’t want this. I want to talk to him.” I said.

 They didn’t said a word and they just looked at me like they know my pain.

 After we finished eating, Jane said “Let’s go to an arcade.”

 We went to an arcade and It was the same arcade that Sean and I went on our first date. I remembered those happy memories that Sean and I had. I was so sad.

  Jane and Shane looked at me and they noticed that I was not myself today.

 “Let’s go home. I’m sorry because we can’t make you happy today.” Jane said. They are so kind to me.

 “ No. it’s not your fault. I’m just not in the mood to have fun today. I think you are right. Let’s just go home.” I said. We walked home and I just went to bed without taking a shower.

*the next day. (Monday)*

Today is the last day for the preparations. Some of the groups are making the costumes for tomorrow. We are going to have a Haunted café! I think It’s going to be fun, but I haven’t talked to Sean today because he kept on avoiding me. I feel so sad. There’s no class today.  The whole High school department will just spend the whole day for the preparations.

*recess*

The 2nd year girls seem to be talking with Sean.

  “Sean! It seems like you and Graciel are not hanging around together lately. Did you already broke up?” a girl said from the 2nd year girls. I didn’t want to hear what Sean will say but Sean said.

 “No. we just have a little misunderstanding. We are never going to break up.”

 I was so shocked when he said It like that. I was so relieved that He sees things that way but he still just avoided me the whole day. We finished decorating the room but the clothes for tomorrow are not yet done.

Class 3-A will have a Haunted House

Class 3-B will have a Haunted Café

Class 3-C will have a play (Romeo and Juliet)

Class3-D will have a maid café

Class3-E will have a party booth

It was 5:34 pm and the other sections are done preparing for tomorrow. Class 3-C is already done with the costumes but our class still haven’t finished working for the clothes.

 “I will handle the rest.” The vice president said. (her name is Felice).

 “Are you sure?” The class president said (Jacob).

 “Yes. I will just make these In my house. You can all go home now.” The vice president said.

 “The vice president Is very reliable.” I said.

 Shane stared at me and replied. “She Is the oldest child in her family. Her parents are working abroad so she is currently the only one taking care of her other siblings. She have 2 other siblings. The other one Is in 2nd year high school and the other one Is in grade 5. I think that’s the reason why she Is very reliable.” Shane said in a low voice.

 After our conversation, I stopped by on a comic store and walked home.

 I saw the bridge.

 I remembered the moment when I first saw Sean.

 It was like the happiest moment of my life. I was looking at the bridge and my face was wet. Something is dripping. I raised my hand and checked if It was raining.

*what? This is weird. It’s not raining*

 I wiped my face and realized that I was crying. I was so sad because of the way Sean Is avoiding me. I just continued on walking but I couldn’t hold my tears. I wiped my tears as I arrived at my house. I don’t want my mother to see me crying again. I ran and I cried under my pillow. I didn’t notice but I fell asleep.
