The Bridge

chapter 3 (don't leave me)

It's almost 3 weeks since Sean and I have been talking and meeting in the bridge. i don't get bored because It's really fun to talk with him. he tells me jokes and stuff. My heart feels like It's going to burst whenever I see him so, talking to him feels like I'm going to faint. *I think that's the reason that I don't get bored when I'm with him.*

* at the classroom*

"Your mom talked to me. she asked me If I know anything about you going out late" Shane said in a serious voice.

"Don't be so serious." I said. I told her about Sean. Shane said that she wants to meet him. after school, we went to the bridge. Sean was already there.

" It's him!" while pointing my finger where Sean Is standing.

" I can't see anybody. stop messing with me.

just tell me the real reason why you are always late." Shane told me.

I looked at the bridge and Sean wasn't there. 

* the next day *

"Hey!" Shane shouted at me.

I was not paying attention I didn't realize that she was talking to me. "what? what did you say?" I asked her.

" why are you like that? you are not listening to me. I was talking about Jacob( the guy who confessed to me in chapter 1) and I.".....

" what about Jacob and you?"  I asked Shane.

" we are already going out." Shane said. I was so shocked on what she said. "we've been together since last week. " Shane said. *I'm really shocked with the development.* 

*after school*

"let's go home together" I told Shane.

"I'm sorry Graciel. I promised Jacob to go on a date with him today. I'm really sorry" shane said.

" okay. you don't have to apologize. you should spend more time with your boyfriend. I wish you to be together forever." I told Shane. I was so sad because I remembers Sean and the happy moments i spent with him. 

2 weeks have passed and Sean never came in the bridge. I waited for him everyday even if it's on a weekend. I always waited for him in the bridge but he never came.

* the next day*

I decided that If he will not come today, I will never wait for him again.

today is a sunday.I went  to the bridge with a boxed lunch with me. It's about 6:05 am. I waited for him to come. I waited and waited until It's 10:30  am.

I am so hungry so I ate the boxed lunch I carried along with me. I waited and waited. It began to rain. the people began to run. they are afraid to get wet. It is already 6:43 pm but there's not any sign of him. I didn't went to another place and just sat in the bench where we usually talk.

 I cried when I remembered the moments I spent with him. i cried because he never came. I cried hard that my eyes had swollen. someone came near and I saw that It was Shane.

I hugged her tightly. "I waited but he never came again." I couldn't stop my tears and i cried like there is no tomorrow.

" I know that you waited here everyday. i have been watching you. you don't have to force yourself . you deserve someone better."

she walked with me until I reached my home. "thank you for everything." i told Shane. she went home and I took a bath. I am so sad.
