A few days have passed without any incidents in Taehyung's world, the journalist has gotten back on track with the reason he came to Busan in the first place. He's spent a lot of time in the local library to find out more to do with the murder that happened four years ago and came back to his motel room satisfied with what information he gained from his search. The lady who works as an assistant in the library is married to the man who found the body and contacted the police so he was able to get a few pages full of what his experience was like, this left Taehyung feeling elated to know that he has an eye witness report. The time he wasn't at the library was spent wondering around Busan, getting a feel of the area. He visited the beach and the docks, went shopping at the local seafood market and treated a few days as if he was on vacation.

Right now Taehyung is strolling around the area thinking about the people he's met and how friendly they've been. It brought his train of thoughts to a slow stop when he starting thinking of a certain brunet.

Taehyung hasn't seen much of Jungkook these past few days, but the occasional times he did was at the cafe or when he was walking down a random street and would catch sight of the pale boy just staring off into space. He would be lying if he wasn't low-key disappointment when the times they did talk only lasted for a few minutes due to Jungkook having to be somewhere. The blonde did manage to say his apology but the latter just laughed it off saying it was amusing- Taehyung felt relieved at that- and they spent the rest of their time hanging out by watching T.V. and talking about whatever came to mind.

The path Taehyung is walking down currently is passing by in a blur as he thinks about Jungkook. The blonde has no doubt found the younger cute on more than one occasion but would he go as far as saying he has a crush? They've only known each other for a few days and feelings have never been Taehyung's forte, admitting to liking someone has always come back to bite him in the butt. Back in high school he had a crush on a girl in his maths class, she found out from someone Taehyung had considered a really close friend and rejected him in front of everyone saying such harsh things that left him crying alone in the boys bathroom at lunch. It was torture trying to hide the tears brimming his eyes throughout the whole lesson, some kids pointed it out and laughed causing him to wish thoughts he never wanted to think about again. The blonde he has had some luck though, he had one boyfriend in his senior year, it only lasted three months but he was lovely and treated the blonde with such kindness. It ended though, due to his boyfriends parents not liking him being gay, as a result of the parents being homophobic, they were forced to split and all contact was cut off after they graduated. It was a devastating time for Taehyung but he cherished those memorable three months.

But Jungkook was definitely different, far from anyone he's ever liked before. Maybe it's how easy it is to get along with the younger, or maybe it's the initiative Jungkook has that always seems to surprise Taehyung. The people Taehyung had liked previously all wanted the blonde to be the one to initiate affection or a conversation, be the first to say what he thought or pull the first move. Taehyung never had the confidence in himself and that caused many hesitations within his past relationships, putting pressure on him to do things that would only make his parter feel happy, but being with Jungkook makes him feel like it's okay to speak his mind and be his usual loud bubbly self, with no hesitations whatsoever, and more importantly he feels relaxed and happy whenever he's with the latter and maybe this is why he likes him.

Before Taehyung made the trip to Busan, back at the office he had no friends, well anyone he would consider as a friend, everyone was more or less an acquaintance and they never spoke more than a few words to the tanned male. His life and job is filled with talking to people and yet he hasn't had a solid friendship since high school; how ironic.

A sigh pours out of the blondes mouth as he looks up to the sky, a few clouds were dotted around making patterns and shapes of animals, the sun covered by a layer of clouds making the day not too bright but still warm enough for it being winter. Taehyung's eyes drift back down to in front of him, not many people walking about, making his path clear and easy to see, but someone catches his eye from across the road. A familiar tuff of brown hair is seen past the cars driving along the slim road, and Jungkook is immediately recognised in the break of traffic. A smile spreads across Taehyung's face and butterflies flit around in the pit of his stomach. Just seeing him makes the blonde feel a sense of security.

Gosh, I'm smitten.

The butterflies in Taehyung's stomach soon turn into a panicked flurry as he see's Jungkook step forward onto the road, straight into a black car that's driving along. The car doesn't stop with the brunets actions and keeps driving away, seemingly not even aware that someone just walked onto the road and into it.

Taehyung chokes back a yell as tears spring into his eyes, but as soon as the line of cars that were following the black one are out of the way, he stands still, not breathing and not blinking.

Jungkook isn't anywhere near the road, Jungkook isn't anywhere in sight. Jungkook isn't there.
