Silence.Ever since Hoseok left there has been silence.
Neither Jungkook nor Taehyung made an effort to speak when they walked away from the cemetery and back to the motel. The whole ordeal made them feel numb. Emotions whirling around, making them feel dizzy but the most prominent thing they both felt was loss.
They only knew Hoseok for barely a full 24 hours and his departure has made such an impact on both Taehyung and Jungkook.
Although the sadness is caused by a friend leaving the two, it's gotten both thinking.
Jungkook is going to leave Taehyung soon. Just like Hoseok.
Neither want to think or speak about it, but it's inevitable. Taehyung has made a promise to the younger and while he wishes for more time with Jungkook, he has to fulfil it before his stay in Busan ends.
Jungkook wishes he could just go to Seoul with the journalist but he knows he bound to Busan. He's here for a reason and he can't give that up no matter how much he likes the older.
The room may be filled with silence and their unspoken thoughts but the two are using their body language to covey how they feel. While Taehyung is laying on the bed, staring blankly up at the ceiling, Jungkook is curled in is side, head gently pressed against the olders chest as his heart beat resonates through his ears.
The closeness just shows how both are dreading the youngers departure. The way Taehyung cards his fingers through Jungkook's hair shows the caring and gentleness of his feelings, how when the younger moves slightly to get more comfortable, Taehyung accommodates that, turning slightly so he can use both arms to keep Jungkook secure in his embrace.
The fondness of Taehyung's touches has Jungkook's dead heart beating out of his chest. He wants it to be like this forever. He doesn't want to leave the only one who's ever showed him what it's like to be alive, even if it's only been a week and a few days. Taehyung has managed to make him feel so alive and loved and special and he doesn't want this to end.
But it's going to at some point.
With a sigh falling from the elders lips, he pulls Jungkook closer. Head resting on top of the spirits brown locks and hands clasped behind his back as if to make sure he doesn't disappear any time soon.
Then with another few minutes of dead silence, the younger makes an effort to finally speak.
"I don't want to leave you," is gently whispered. His head now ducked into the crook of Taehyung's neck and his lips brush the skin ever so slightly, causing the journalist to shiver involuntary.
"I don't want to never see you again, you mean too much to me,"
"I don't want you to leave either," Taehyung sighs, tugging Jungkook closer if it was even possible. The two are pressed right up against each other, legs tangled, heart beats in sync, each other's feelings washing over the other as they lay there. Neither want this to change but with the way things are, they're just going to have to cherish this moment.
"I wish I could spend eternity with you. Just to spend all the time like this," Taehyung's heart felt as if it lept out of his chest as he heard the youngers words. Tears sprung into his eyes unwillingly and he tried to hold them back but with the words just spoken and with the event that unfolded earlier that day he didn't have the strength to.
