Phil's POV
I was wiping down the tables at my parents cafe when I hear the bell ovet the door tinkle.
"I'm sorry we are closed." I say as I turn around.
My eyes fell on a fairly tall, hunched over figure with brown hair hanging messily over one eye. He wore a pair of skinny jeans and an oversized jumper.
"Sir, we are closed."
"A coffee please?" He rasped.
"I am afraid I can't-"
"Please?" He cut me off.
I frowned. "Why do you want a coffee so badly?"
"I haven't had any food today. I hoped it would fill me up. Plus it is freezing outside."
"Why were you out in the cold?"
"Because I have nowhere else to be."
"Look. Just go home."
I looked up at him and saw that his eves were glassed over. A tear fell down his cheek, leaving a small trail in the dirt that coated his face.
"Home." He said barely audible. "I haven't had a home for 5 months now."
"Why?"
"I was kicked out for being pansexual."
"How old are you?"
"16." Four years younger than me then.
"Sit. I'll get you a coffe."
"Thanks." He whispers.
I brought it over to him and he wrapped his hands around the mug before taking a sip.
"PHIL!" I heared my mum call down the stairs. "COME HERE A SECOND."
"COMING!" I replied. "Stay here." I said to Dan before running up the stairs and into the living room."What's up mum?"
"Who is the man downstairs?"
"I am not 100% sure. I do know that he is 16 and was kicked out by his parents 5 months ago for being pansexual. He hasn't had a home since then."
"Poor boy. Well good thing he came here. Offer him the use of our shower if you want and tell him he can come for food and drinks twice a day."
"Thank you mum.""Hey. I said as I sat across from him at a table. "My mum said that you could use our shower if you want and you can come here twice a day for food and drinks if you want."
I watched as a smile appeared on his face. "Thank you."
"What's your name? I'm Phil."
"My name is Dan."
