Chapter 12

Hey guys! So sorry for the long wait, but I've been very busy with school and now I'm currently back from school holidays. ( I know I didn't update one bit).

Anyway, in case you have not remembered what occurred in the previous chapter: Val has been set free and is now able to live in the pack house. She surprisingly gets a gift from her mate, Dylan, in her bedroom with invitation to the pack festival. She declines and returns the dress. But let's see what happens next!

I slipped my heels on, did a quick check on myself and turned towards my sister.

"Oh my! You look so gorgeous Val" she squeals. I smile a little and shrug.

"I don't want to go" I said. Daisy's face falls for a second then she smiles brightly

"Don't worry! Have the time your life, I promise it's fun. I've done this all before" I frown a tiny bit and shrug my shoulders.

"Shame I can't go, this one in here is ready to pop anytime soon" Daisy says, pointing to her big rounded stomach.

"Ok." I say.

She quickly adjusts my dress a bit more and then fixes my hair. I wiggle away from her grip and turn to face her,

"This isn't going to fix anything. I deserve an explanation. I want to go home, I don't want to do this." I say. A deep frown has now formed on her face, making her look unhappy.

"Val, just please, please forget about what's happened.. For now.. Of course, and enjoy. You're going have a blast, especially with Dylan."

As I'm about to reply, there is a knock on the door that makes Daisy jump a little and turn, opening the door. Leo's face appears in a bright wide smile, himself dressed in a fancy suit with a red rose held in his hands. Daisy eyes light up and she smiles.

"You, my lady, are coming to the festival. Pregnant or not" he exclaims while giving her the rose.

"Aww, you are a true gent. I can't though.. I have don't have an outfit" Daisy replies with a slow that frown on her face.

"No worries, I got Stacey to pick a dress for you"

"No way! You're too sweet. I love you" she giggles and throws her arms on him.. Well tries as her big belly gets in the way.

Daisy turns to me with a warm smile and says, "Ready? You look great!".

I smile back at her, "Yeah"

If you're wandering, Daisy and I had spoken and I had explained the incident about the whole injection thingy. She was very calm and she agreed with what I had to say. We made up and as an annoying sister would, she begged me to go to the mate festival.

Daisy was beside me, her makeup done and her hair was done up in beautiful mermaid waves. She has a tight long white lace dress on which compliments her belly amazingly. I truly admire her beauty.

We stood in front of the open entrance of the mate festival. Music booming and lots of young and old people dancing and hanging around. I felt intimidated.
