Chapter 2: Their first time out

The next morning, Emma woke up to the sound of her alarm clock, as always. What she wasn't used to was seeing a small magical creature next to her.

"AHHH!!"

Tikki suddenly woke up.

"Emma, calm down. It's just me, Tikki."

As Emma grabbed onto her bedside pole, she was also breathing heavily.

"Well, sorry! I'm not not used to having a little talking bug thing by my side 24/7!!" Pointing directly at Tikki.

"I don't even know why I have to wear these stupid earrings all the time anyway! I don't even like jewelry."

"Emma, you have to wear them all the time, in order to transform, and have me around!" Tikki explained.

Emma groaned.

"Now, let's get you ready for school!"

Emma got up from her tower of blankets and pillows, and went to the bathroom to get ready for school. Afterwards, she grabbed her backpack, and left the house.

"Where am I going to be?"

Emma looked down at Tikki.

"What do you mean by that?"

"I have to stay somewhere where no one can see me. NO ONE is aloud to know that you're Ladybug!!"

"Um, okay....um, stay in my jacket?"

Tikki nodded, and went into her jacket.

Travis on the other hand, had to deal with Plagg.

"Okay, lemme get this straight. You're a magical creature, also kwown as a "kawami", that grants powers of destruction?"

Plagg nodded. "Also, I like camembert."

"Oh joy. Camembert."

Plagg smirked at Travis.

"I better get ready for school. I don't wanna be late cause of you."

Once Emma arrived at school, she met Tori by the entrance again. But sadly, their rivals, Ruby and Sandra were there as well.

"Ugh. Ruby and Sandra are there. What a great way to start a school day." Emma said sarcastically, glaring at them.

"Well, here comes Travis." Tori said, while giggling.

Emma turned bright red. Travis and Dante walked up to Tori and Emma.

"Hey girls. How's your day been going lately?" Travis said, raising an eyebrow.

"Good so far. Besides Miss Brat face over there." said Tori, pointing at Ruby.

Travis and Dante chuckled at that comment. "Emma, what's up with you?"

"W-what? Me? Oh, uh me, I'm up and acting good...."

Travis stared at Emma with a blank stare. "What was that?"

"N-NOTHING!!! IT WASN'T IMPORTANT!" said Emma,blushing and hiding behind Tori's back.

"Ha ha, okay. Whatever you say Em." Travis said, chuckling.

Emma blushed and giggled from behind her best friend's back.

Ruby and Sandra walked up to Travis and Dante.

"Hi Travikins~ How are you doing this morning?" said Ruby, pushing Emma and Tori out of the way.

Emma and Tori fell onto the ground.

As Ruby was going in for a kiss on Travis, he moved to the side to help up his sister and Emma up.

Ruby ended up kissing the wall, since Travis moved.

Emma, Travis, Tori, and Dante started to laugh a little under their breath.

"Ergh!!" exclaimed Ruby. "Well, don't just stand there Sandra. HELP ME!!" ordered Ruby.

As Ruby and Sandra went back into the school building, Ruby fixed her "perfect" blonde hair and mumbled, "Ugh...That stupid Emma, trying to steal MY Travis from me. The nerve!"

A window then suddenly opened in a dark unkwown place.

"Ahhhh. You're feeling jealous of one of your classmates? Such perfect prey for my evil little akumas. Go fly away and darken this girl's heart!" said Hawkmoth, releasing his akuma.

As the akuma struck her diamond shaped necklace, a lavender mask came over her face.

"I am Hawkmoth, and now you are Heartbreaker. I will give you the power to take your loved-one, and take their heart forever. All I ask for in return is Ladybug and Cat Noir's miraculouses."

"Yes Hawkmoth." said Ruby, as she smirked and transformed.

Heartbreaker rised up into the air. She had a suit with dark angel wings on her back, and she had a heart with an arrow across it on the front. Her suit color was black and pink. She had a black mask on her face. Her akuma, (the necklace) was around her neck, above the suit.

People all around her screamed in fright and horror. Emma jumped into the back of the school building, and Tikki jumped out.

"What do I do Tikki?!"

"You're gonna have to transform into Ladybug."

"And how to I do that exactly?"

"All you have to do is say "spots on" and you'll transform. Your superpower is your Lucky Charm. When you use it, an item appears in your hands to help you defeat the akumatized villian. You only have 5 minutes before you turn back into Mar- I mean Emma."

"Okay, but what's an akuma?"

"An akuma is the purple butterfly inside a specific item. You have to figure out where the akuma is. Every villan will have a different akuma."

"Got it. Tikki, SPOTS ON!"

Travis jumped into some bushes and said, "How do I transform?"

"You have to say "claws out". But don't let ANYONE know your identity. Oh yeah, also, you should have a partner."

"Right. Plagg, CLAWS OUT!"

Ladybug climbed onto the roof of the school, and tried to use her yo-yo.

"Okay, let's try using this yo-yo."

The yo-yo was firmly tight around a pole, and grabbed Ladybug with it.

"WAHHHHH!!"

Travis on the other hand, was testing out his stick and walking on it. Then, out of nowhere, Ladybug crashed into him.

"S-sorry about that. I'm new at this sort of thing."

"It's alright, I am too. I'm Cat Noir."

"I'm Em-"
Her yo-yo released them, and they fell onto the ground on their heads.

"Embarrassed. I'm so sorry Cat Noir."

Cat Noir rubbed his head, "Accidents happen. You must be the partner Plagg was talking about."

"Who's Plagg?"

"No one important."

"Okay. If you say so."

"Well, we better take down this villian."

"Right." said Ladybug.
