It was a dark and silent night. The sky was not lit up by the moon and neither were the streets from the useless light poles on the sides of the road. The silent breeze ruffled my loose top while I walked silently down the street. On both sides of me, there were endless rows of trees which looked as if the they ate up the darkness of the night and gave an omnious feeling to the surroundings.

I was coming back from a nearby town after completing my work there. I didn't think my work would take up so much of my time but it did and now I had to walk back home through this lonely road passing through the jungle. I could have stayed in the town but it was not really considered a town plus it was not a place someone should stay the night in.

I cursed the drunk driver that had collided with my car last night which was the reason why I had to take a lift up till the town from the drunk driver himself. In exchange for not filing a complaint against the driver, he had promised to do something for me. I realised that I could probably use him for my own benefit in the long run and if I filed a complaint against him, it would be of no use to me. But the useless piece of shit had left me stranded in the town and left when I was convening my business. Hence I was walking back home. My car was in the garage and the mechanic told me it would take a week to fix my car. So I had to walk to every place now. Just fantastic!

It's not like it is a big deal just that I was out of practice. I was a runner before this and so had run miles before. My feet were pretty strong and walking back home didnt seem like that big of a task to me. The town was some 2 miles away from my town and the distance consisted of the jungle that was in between the two towns. As the jungle started to thin out I saw the houses come into view.

Mostly these houses were mansions with beautiful gardens and backyards and were built near the jungle to get some privacy while mostly wanting to stay away from the middle class that inhabit most parts of the town. One of the houses was of Damon Deneris. His father was the CEO of some hi-tech company and is filthy rich. I stand in front of the house and try to memorise everything that I can see from my spot on the sidewalk under some shade to prevent anyone from seeing me.

After standing in front of the house, looking at it and brooding about the future, I turn and walk around the house to start on the journey back home.

As I am walking around the house, I hear voices coming from the backyard. I walk closer to the boundary of the house and stand below the shade of a tree where I can clearly hear the conversation while at the same time won't be seen by any passerby- of which there was very little chance since it was pretty late and everyone was probably asleep.

"Why the hell are you not understanding what I am trying to say," I heard a voice say, a voice that belonged to Damon Deneris.

The next thing that I hear makes my day. It is the best news I have heard in the entire day. I climb up the tree being careful to stay hidden and not make any noise. I sit at such an angle that I can take a video from and his face would be clearly seen. My position on the tree is a blind spot and so none of his cameras will be able to record me. I know because you can say I know a lot about Damon. I basically stalk him.

I take out my phone and start recording. Damon, you should be careful about what you talk about in public. Anyone could be eavesdropping on your conversation.

After about five minutes of swearing and shouting, Damon cuts the phone and storms into the house, throwing his phone on the ground angrily, breaking it.

I wish I could take his phone but I know that is not possible. Firstly I won't be able to get into the house as his house has tight security. Secondly, he will get suspicious about where his phone went.

So I just jump down from the tree and start back home.
