People will hide things from you at every turn of your life. They will say something else while they would mean something else. Wouldn't it be great if everyone would have the ability to read each other's mind. That way no one would get hurt as the intentions of everyone would be clear. But since we do not have the ability to do that remember that if someone is doing something for you, it is not for you they are doing it but for themselves. After all, everyone is selfish in life.

I looked at Damon as if he had lost his mind. Who is he to say that I can't go with Luke? My own cousin. My only family! If I won't go with him, then whom would I go with? What would I do?!

"Why not?" I ask him, angry that he is trying to tell me what to do and confused about why he is refusing to let me go with Luke.

"Because." The hell does he think he is. First, he orders around that I can't go with Luke and then secondly, behaves like his orders are the king's orders, not to be questioned!

I fume and glare at him, going through a number of insults and opinionated comments I could throw at him. But then I realise he is not worth it. Why should I waste my breath on him? I have no obligation to tell him all my decisions neither do I have to listen to his commands. I decide to ignore him and look away from him.

I look at Susan and give her an excited smile. "When will he be coming?" I ask her, suppressing the urge to squeal in excitement at having a home to go to. At having a family member to live with.

"Doesn't matter. You are not going anywhere with him!" He says and stands up from leaning against the window. He walks towards me and stands beside me, lookinh down at me. "She won't be going anywhere with him. You can go call him and tell him!" He says to Susan all the while looking down at me. Even though his words conveyed anger, his face was emotionless. There was no trace of any emotion on his face, it was completely blank.

I raise my chin defiantly and say in a calm and collected voice. "Yes I will. She won't do do any such thing." I maintain eye contact with him while speaking to Susan. We glare at each other for a few more minutes, well I glare while all he does is look at me.

Finally having had enough, I break eye contact with him and look at Susan. She was still standing there, looking confused, not knowing what she should do. When I break eye contact with Damon and look at Susan, he does the same.

"What are you waiting for? Go and tell him that his services are no longer needed." He says, more like orders.

"What is your problem?! Why can't you just leave me alone! I don't want you to be here."

"I don't care what you want or don't want. But one thing is clear, you won't go anywhere with him," he says him with so much disgust that for a second even I contemplate why he is refusing to let me go anywhere with him. I mean he knows me so maybe he knows something about Luke that I don't. Something that I have forgotten. But Luke is my brother, what could he have done wrong to me?

Confused and tired, I loose the fight in myself and look at Susan. She is already looking at me. I try giving at a small smile, but probably fail. "You can go if you want. You must have other duties you need to fulfill. If I need you, I'll call you."

"You sure?" she asks worried, and glances between me and Damon.

I give her the most reassuring smile I can muster, "Yea." She gives a small nod and leaves the room after glancing at Damon once. I don't know why she stayed quiet for the whole conversation. She probably thought that it is a personal matter, she shouldn't interfere in.
