Is trust a real feeling? Does it actually exist? She asked.
Only if you trust in trust, dear. Trust can move the biggest mountains, help you cross the deepest oceans, make you fly to the highest peak, only if you trust in it. He replied.
But what if trust was broken too many times to be joined back together. What if trust was left just an illusion in my eyes. She questioned.
He fell silent not knowing what to say. But he trusted that one day, her trust in trust would be regenerated. He knew it would.
I close my eyes, readying myself to the impact of the fall. But when the impact came, it was not what I expected.
I feel my body come to a stop but I don't feel pain anywhere. Moreover, I think my body is suspended in the air. My eyes fly open in shock at feeling a pair of arms go around my waist and my body coming back to stand straight from its tilted position. I feel the body heat of another body beside me and when I look up, my eyes collide with pitch black eyes. I look at them, as if in a trance, not able to comprehend that my fall had been broken and no more harm would be done to my body again.
I gain back control over my mind when the person drops me on the bed and I bounce a little. I frown and look back up at him and notice all his other features. He has dark brown hair which look light brown at places where the light falls on them sharply. His brother looks black almost. He has a strong jawline and a straight nose. His lips are full ,pink and turned down in a frown.
My eyes snap up to meet his when he clicks his fingers in front of my face.
"Has the accident made you go deaf or what?" He asks rudely. His voice is deep and would probably make me swoon if not for the rude words uttered. His words trigger something in me which makes my appreciation of him come to an abrupt end.
"Excuse me?!"
"Oh! Thank God, you can hear. For a moment there, I thought that the accident not only crippled you but also made you deaf." At his words, I seethe in anger and glare up at him.
"Who the hell do you think you are?!" I snap at him angrily while my breathing increases.
"Do you know your nostrils enlarge when you are angry?" He says, an amused tilt to his tone.
What the hell?!
One second he is beyond irritated and the next he is amused?! Not to mention that he just insulted me.
Do my nostrils enlarge when I am angry? It must look so weird.
"Makes you look like a pig." He says casually while tilting his head to the side a little. I choke on air when he says that and my temper seems to increase. I start thinking of insults about his appearance so I could throw them at him while at the same time make I am trying to prevent my nostrils from flaring up.
What?
It is embarrassing!
"Why you..you-" I stutter, not able to come up with a worthy enough insult about his appearance. My stutter only seems to increase his amusement in the situation more and his eyes brighten up a little more with humour. "-toad feet hair." I complete my insult, only wishing after that I hadn't.
To be fair, his hair did look like toad feet. They were splattered all over his forehead, and looked like a toads feet. You know, the web like feet of the toads? Uhm.
But now to be really fair, his hair looked sexy in a messy way, the just got out of bed look. Though overrated, you gotta admit that they do look great on some boys. One of them being him. Not that I am going to tell him that.
