My eyes peel open I realize that unfortunately, after all this excitement, I come to my reality and remember the existence of school. The tormenting thought tortures and agonizes me for hours.

"Come on you don't want to be late." My mom says.

"Yeah I do.."

She jokingly rolls her eyes at me as she makes her way back downstairs.

I pull off my blanket and feel my head slowly rise off of my soft, warm, cozy pillow as I think about myself leaving this feeling behind.

I sigh and go downstairs to my mom.

"Finally," She says to me.

I don't even bother to reply. I just want some food.

She places a bowl of cereal in front of me as I get myself a spoon from our old wooden cabinets.

After I finish eating I head out to school with my heavy bag pressing against my shoulders. At least I have my favorite class first - vocal.

I walk intro the room with Mia, one of my other best friends.

"Ok guys, let's warm up with The Water Is Wide" Our vocal teacher says.

The water is wide

I cannot crossover

And neither have, I wings to fly

Build me a boat, that can carry two

And both shall row

My love and I

We repeat singing this a few times as a consistently notice Kyle, one of my sarcastic and funny classmates casually glancing over at me during the song.

And both shall row

Kyle looks over,

My love and I

"Ok nice job," Our teacher says, "You can take a five minute break."

"Mia!" I say quietly but powerfully.

"What?"

"Why does Kyle keep looking over at me when we sing 'My love and I'?"

"Dude, you're nuts. Everyone knows He likes Amelia."

"No, really! Watch him next time, you'll see."

"Whatever you say."

Our break ends and we return to the piano. I nudge at Mia to remember to look at Kyle during the last line of the song.

And both shall row

I tap Mia as Kyle looks over.

My love and I

"Oh my god.." Mia says in shock. "How? Why?"

"Why? What do you mean why??

"Haha nothing."

"Wow thanks."

"Sure thing."

We glare at each other.

"Ugh but seriously. Why does he keep staring at me?"

"As if I know! You should go talk to him."
