Chapter 2: hide out

Alex's POV:
I watched as Ashlyn made a run for it.I couldn't believe it.She was a lower rank then me yet was able to break the spell and my grip.She couldn't be an alpha because that was impossible.Neither was she a beta because she was to weak and dumb for that.I'm so confused.At least my wolf can help once I get it tomorrow since it would be my birthday.I just really hoped that my mate would be an amazing person.

You may be wondering why I hate Ashlyn so much and became her bully.

(FLASHBACK)6 years ago

I couldn't believe it.I actually had a crush on Ashlyn.I had liked her for quite a wile now but today I was going to tell her.

I grabbed the flowers that I had bought at the store and started walking to our field.It was a place that only me and her knew about.She had gone there everyday since she got here.

I soon see her in the distance.I can smell her familiar scent even from here.Then I growl.She wasn't alone.There was a boy next to her.

My hands formed into a fist.Then my eyes widened at what I saw.He was leaning towards her.She was also doing the same.THEY WERE GOING TO KISS.

I immediately turned around and used my wolf speed to get out of there.I did not want to see her kiss him.

(FLASHBACK OVER)

Ever since I had stopped talking to her and became a bully to her.Due to my popularity,I was able to get others to bully her too.We had hated each other ever since.

I move from my frozen place on the floor.I was just going to ignore the thoughts of how she had broken the spell.You always had to be a higher rank then the person that is using the commanding voice to break free.

I walked over to my car and got in.I opened the garage and headed towards the school.I was going to bully Ashlyn again today.

ASHLYN'S POV:
I raced up the school steps and ran straight to my locker.Today I was going to have to be extra careful to stay away from Alex.He would be extra mad from me just leaving him there with an un-answered question.

As I quickly grabbed my books my best friend,Anna, walked up to me.She was also apart of the Death Wish Pack.

"Why in a rush today?Oh wait.I know.Alex again."She said sighing.I nodded then pulled her along with me to get to class;in other words,my base.Alex almost never bullied me where an adult was near by.Almost.

"Dang it.It's still locked."I said as I came to the door of our first period high school class."Let's go to the hideout."I said while Anna just nodded.

We walked over to the janitor closet,making sure no one was watching and stepped in.I found the ladder and leaned it against the wall.I climbed upwards till I hit the ceiling.I pushed until the small trapdoor opened.I stepped into the attic of the school and put my hand back down the trapdoor hole.

Anna grabbed it and brought herself up.We had found this place when I was escaping the many bullies that tried to hurt me.I walked around the room as Anna closed the trapdoor.

Since no one at the school,even the school workers,didn't know about this place, we had made it our own.There had been a mini fridge we had found in here awhile back and we had filled it with snacks and drinks.I walked towards it and opened it.There were a variety of drinks but I just chose a coke.

There was a old sofa that stood in the corner of the room with a desk beside it.the desk held a lamp that lit the room up.

Me and Anna both sat on the couch at the same time.She reached over and grabbed the stack of cards on the desk.

"Slap jack?"She asked.I nodded.

We split the stack and started the game.I ended up losing when I lost all my cards.I pouted."Not fair!"I whined.

She just laughed and put the stack of cards away.Just then the first bell rang.We both quickly got up and slung our backpacks onto our arms.I opened the trapdoor and climbed down.She quickly followed.

I stepped out of the closet when the hallway was quiet.Anna and me used our wolf speed to zoom into the class and sit down without any humans noticing.I could not say the same for the wolfs.

Since people did not believe werewolfs were real we never told them.That is why we went to school with them and acted like normal teenagers.

I could see my other pack mates look at me as we zoomed past them.Humans thought it was just a breeze of air but my pack mates could see me fly by.
