THE POWERFUL; YET REJECTED

Chapter 8: Finish the Mission

Ashlyn's POV:

I walk out to the arena dragging Hope with me. Anna walked up to me carrying three paint guns. She gave one to Hope, and one to me. I thanked her and went behind a tree. Melissa came beside me. Melissa was Alex's adopted sister. We weren't that close but only because she was 4 years younger then me. That means she's 14.

"It's boys against girls."she said through her helmet. I nodded.

I knew who was going to try to get me. Alex. So that just means I'll have to get him first.

"You up to get yr big bro?" I asked. She nodded and smirked. She was a huge pranked in our pack.

She also kinda didn't really like her brother. I mean yah she liked him when he was nice and stuff, but now... Not so much. She also wishes that her parents were less over protective.

"What's the plan?" She asked.

"I've told all the girls the plan already. You guys are going to distract him while I go behind. Then I'll shoot him in the back. When he falls I'm going to give him a little 'pep talk'." I said smirking.

She went around and ran behind another tree. I then saw a piece of paint fly right by me. I ducked and went behind a stack of wood. I made my way over to where the boys base was at. It was a large fort area. I shot Blake's beta, Taylor. He looked around him with a glare but got out of the game.

I saw Payton, a shy girl in the pack walk forward. She hid behind a mini building right beside their fort.

I walked inside the fort, and started shooting like crazy. I saw many boys panic and start shooting each other. Lol.

When the boys saw me, glared. All of them were out already.

I run into the shadows by a building. I knew the rest of the 24 boys were inside.

'It's safe in the boys fort. Start pineapple.' I mind linked all the girls. Pineapple was the secret code for them to attack. I saw my whole team creep inside the fort. They surrounded the building where the boys were at. I went to the side of the building and saw a ladder. Perfect.

I climbed the ladder and saw that the building had no roof. It only had the wood logs as their wall. I saw that they were all ready to shoot at any given moment. I smirked. They had formed a circle around Blake, leaving him in the middle and them protected. Wow this was going to be fun.

I grab my gun and aim. I send the mindlink to all the girls; pineapple. Or in other words, ATTACK!

I watch as all the girls rush in shooting at the boys. Some girls go down but mostly boys. I feel a presence on both sides of me. I whip around to see Hope and Anna both at my sides.

I look back down to see that only Alex is left. Perfect.

Suddenly I feel a sharp pain in my stomach. The pain was unbearable. I looked at my stomach to see nothing.

''I'm sorry. I tried to keep the pain in, but it's too much.' Scarlet whimpered. I double over in pain. I take deep breaths to calm myself. I could feel pain shooting through all parts of my body.

Hope and Anna looked at me with concern. Hope placed her hand on my stomach. Immediately I felt a bit of the pain go away. But only a little.

"Finish the job." I whisper. Anna aims her gun at Alex and shoots. Suddenly I hear the girls start to cheer.

Hope grabbed my hand and closed her eyes. I did the same. Suddenly I felt a breeze pass by and I opened my eyes. We had transported to the ground. Anna had climbed down with wide eyes.

"How'd you do that?" She asked. Hope just shrugged.

'We need to leave.' Scarlet whispered.

'WE WHAT?!' I yelled in my head. My body was numb and I could hardly move.

'If in three days, I don't heal then we have to leave.' She said. It her me that I had to leave but I knew that if we stayed, my heart would break from the pain of being near Alex.

'In three days." I repeated.

Suddenly my I could feel my body again. I sighed in relief. I got up with the help of Anna and Hope. I walked over to the building with the cake and food.
