As the figure came closer towards them Nathan tightened his grip on Magalie's waist to protect her. "Charles" Magalie whispered too low for anyone to hear. He cocked his head to the side examining the scene in front of him his eyes wandering down to where Magalie leaned on Nathan for support and in deathly fear. He smiled a strange half smile that made her shiver in apprehension. "Well I should have known you two would meet, it's a small world." It took a few minutes for Magalie to grasp the fact that cruel dangerous Charles and sweet kind Nathan knew each other. She just couldn't get her head around it but she didn't have time to worry about that now with Charles standing way too close for comfort. Surely he wouldn't do anything to draw attention to himself when he was trying to remain conspicuous in the city but with Charles nothing was certain.
Then Nathan spoke up: "Leave her out of this I haven't told her anything".
"Oh silly Nathan don't you know who this is?" Charles answered him with a melancholy smile.
Nathan looked down at her confused and she avoided his accusing gaze.
Charles laughed heartlessly at her obvious discomfort and anger welled up inside of her. "I..." she started unable to find the words to explain to him. She took a deep breath and continued her voice still shaky. "We, that is Charles and I used to be married a very long time ago"
Nathan looked incredulously at her then at Charles whose smug grin told him this was no joke. "Technically we are still married, the divorce was never finalized" he said menacingly his gaze pointed at Nathan "and that is my wife you've got there".
He strode over to them roughly grabbing Magalie's arm and dragged her away from him. Nathan only stood there still in shock not fully realizing he shouldn't let her leave with him. After a few seconds past he finally came to his senses but it was too late. He had taken her and now both their lives were in jeopardy. Going after her would only result in him being killed alongside her. He needed to plan this out in detail but one thing was certain: he loved her and he would rescue her whatever the cost.

Magalie sat alone in a dark cold hotel room. She didn't know where she was and frankly couldn't care, what use would it be to know? No one was coming and the end was near. She wondered again how Nathan had ever got involved with this. She had no choice but he could have walked away whenever he felt like it. What did Charles have on him? She put her hand up to her forehead and felt the fresh blood coming from her recent bruise. What was there to live for? Who would even care if she was gone? For no reason at all she thought again of the strange girl from the graveyard. She remembered the pain evident in her face and how much older it made her seem. She knew the meaning of loss and betrayal and somehow it cheered Magalie up just a little bit to know that she had been able to help her even if it was just to drive her to the graveyard.

Kat's P.O.V
All around her was the sound of screaming and crying infants and the strong smell of bleach. She couldn't imagine having to stay in this god awful place for another hour let alone a few nights but Ben seemed to be handling it well. The nurses had already fallen for his adorable smile and wide eyes, he looked years younger than his actual age. Right now he was sleeping peacefully all worry drained out of his face for the time being. She stroked his hair gently careful not to wake him when she noticed out of the corner of her eye John walk into the room. He sat opposite her the other side of the hospital bed and she couldn't help remember when she was in Bens place. He smiled to himself thinking he had never seen her show that same love for anyone else.
"I have something for you" John whispered so as not to wake little Ben. She looked across at him suspiciously before remembering her request.
Excitement filled her. "What did you find out"?
"Not much" John admitted "But I know where he is"
Kat stared at him not daring to believe it, eventually she found her voice: "Where?"
"Bijlmerbajes prison complex in Amsterdam" he said not missing a beat. "Have no fear, I haven't told your mother and I don't intend to"
She nodded not able to find words to express her gratitude. Tears streaming in her eyes she finally managed to choke out: "Thank you I don't know however to repay you"
He smiled at her. "Looking after my Ben is thanks enough"
Later in her room she double checked everything she would need to bring. She packed everything neatly placing her passport and boarding pass on top. Lastly she placed an old photograph of her and her Dad at the park to the side of her rucksack knowing it wouldn't be too long before she saw him again. "Amsterdam here I come".
