Aphmau's POV
I push F/N out of the guard station as Laurence yells for her to wait.
"We're having a party!" F/N responds as the door closes behind us. I stop pushing her and lead her to up the path to my house. "Where are we going?" She asks.
"To my house. I have a guest bedroom in my basement." I wince as I remember Laurence asking me if he could stay in that room two nights ago as he didn't have a house in the village. If only he did I might have never known that he was a... I cut off the thought and focus on climbing the stairs instead. Garroth was standing in front of my house watching the town. He turned his head and looked at me as I finished the last step.
"Please, go inside F/N. It's the first room on the right downstairs. I'm sure Zoey can help you if you need anything," I say, not taking my eyes off of Garroth. I was so tired... Especially after all of the days adventures. All I wanted to do is just get some sleep so I can at least look happy at the welcome party tomorrow. F/N glances at Garroth on her way to the door and then disappeared into the house. After she left it seems unnaturally quiet. A bird chirped suddenly and I looked towards the sound.
"Are you all right Aphmau?" Garroth asks suddenly.
"Yes. Just a little tired at the moment."
"What happened to you? Where were you?" I pondered the question, wondering how to answer it. I look at my hand, almost wondering if this was real.
"I was asleep for most of it," I said simply, not really wanting to talk about it, much less explain what happened. I'm not even sure I know what happened.
"F/N said you woke up and knew Laurence was a shadow knight."
"I'm going to get some sleep. You better too," I start walking towards my house.
"Please don't leave again," he murmured.
"Huh?" I said, not quite hearing him.
"It's nothing." He looked away. I shrugged and went inside. Zoey was reading a book to Levin and Malachi in their room. Her voice was sweet and quiet, like one of them was already asleep. I opened my door and lay down, looking out the window. The last thing I remember is seeing the light in the guard tower turn off and then I drifted off to sleep.

Sorry this is so short, it's just what I had done from a while ago. I didn't want to delete it, or just have it sit there unpublished so I decided to publish it with a little authors note.
So, if you haven't seen already, I've decided to put this book on hold for a while. I've had fun writing it, but now I'm not sure where the story should go or what should happen. If you guys have ideas at all, comment and I might use it when I start writing this book again.
