          Chapter five

Lacey P.O.V

“Mommy can we play outside?” A tiny girl with strange pale skin, chocolate brown ringlets, and piercing purple eyes begged, tugging on a woman’s apron. The woman turned around and the girl gasped. She was beautiful. Her long chestnut brown hair cascaded down her back in soft curls. She had slightly pale skin, but not as pale as the little girl’s who was gazing up at her. Her light blue eyes were filled with love and joy as she looked down at the little girl.

“Sorry darling but it’s going to storm. You’ll have to stay inside. You can play with Will he came all the way over so you guys can play.” On cue the little boy ran into the kitchen skidding to a stop in front of them. His blonde hair flopped over his face covering his bright blue eyes.  “Yea we can play castle!” He shouted eager to play with the small doe eyed beauty. At ten he already knew that he loved her more than anything in the world.

Her lips started trembling; her violet eyes filled with tears. “I want to play outside.”

Will reached out to comfort her, but her mom picked her up first. “You can play outside tomorrow.”

“I don’t want to play outside tomorrow.” She whispered tears running down her face. Will’s heart clenched; he didn’t want her to cry.

The woman set her on the ground and kissed her cheek. “Just play inside tonight. Dinner is almost ready and your father will be coming inside soon.”

The little girl quietly walked away her five year old heart filled with unhappiness. She just wanted to play outside for a little bit.  Will ran after her, “don’t cry.” He pulled her into a hug. She clutched on to him like he was her life line. She felt safe in his arms. Like nothing bad would ever happen.  “We can play hide and seek.” He suggested after she stopped crying.

She giggled and hugged him again. “Okay you count.” He nodded and ran to the couch.

            “One.”

She looked around for a place to hide.

            “Two.”

She looked over at the door.

            “Three.”

She ran over to hit.

            “Four.”

She fumbled with the knob, but she managed to get it open.

            “Five.”

She ran outside and the door slammed shut with a BANG!

“Si….” Will realized what happened. He ran to find her mom. He grabbed her leg and cried, “She ran outside.” Her mom dropped the spoon she was using to stir the soup and hurried outside. Will chasing behind her.

The girl was running towards the shed when a tornado touched down. She was sucked up.

“Lacey!!!!!!!” Her mom screamed.

“Lacey come back.” Will pleaded.

Just like that the tornado was gone taking the tiny girl with it; leaving behind a devastated mother and a heartbroken Will.

I sat up with a gasp. That was the weirdest dream that I’ve ever had. The strange thing is that it didn’t seem like a dream. It was almost like a memory.

My heart filled with pain as I thought of Will and the woman. I felt like I knew them from somewhere. It’s impossible though.

That little girl is dead there is no way she survived the tornado. Then again the tornado didn’t seem like a tornado it almost looked like it came from the heavens and someone was reaching down to grab the little girl.

I shook my head. I think I’m going crazy.

A/N Don't hate me forever! I'm sorry it's so short. I have midterms this week so I've been uber busy. Hopefully I wont take so long to update next time.
