Sasuke thought she was okay. He thought she was unharmed.
He really did. But she wasn't O-Kay.
Haruno Sakura was anything but okay. She was avoiding her cell, and the Hokage was beginning to get suspicions.
So, when she went missing completely, it was a surprise to who volunteered first.
Uchiha Sasuke.
It was a solo mission as Kakashi was on a mission, and Naruto in a coma.
It was then he became very, worried. Because, Haruno Sakura was indeed not, "okay".
It had occurred to him then, that he was very worried about her, but he felt something much more unsettling when he encountered her unconscious in the arms of a supposedly dead shinobi.
Deidera of Iwa. "She's quite a bit of trouble, hmm." He motioned to Sakura smirking.
"Leave Sakura out of this, your revenge over before is only on me." Sasuke said as emotionlessly as he could.
"What's this..?" A new voice asked.
Sasuke turned to the voice and nearly cried. "Aniki..." There stood Itachi.
"Deidera, how are we supposed to kill Danzo after his revival if you're off picking on my brother for petty vengeance... as for the pink haired girl... just leave her be, we were ordered to leave no unnecessary casualties." He droned on.
"Tch. What ever un." He spat at his temporary partner. "Stupid Uchiha un..." He muttered.
Itachi was fighting the urge to poke Sasuke in the forehead.
Deidera dropped the pink haired girl, Sasuke ran up and caught her before she could hit her head.
Sasuke was worried for her, deciding better than to attack the formerly dead Akatsuki members, he rushed back to the village, an unconscious Haruno Sakura limp in his arms.
He arrived in the village, going straight to the hospital. When they took her straight to the emergency room, he became increasingly worried.
It was then something became apparent to him. He was in love with Haruno Sakura of all people...
He loved Sakura. "Sakura you better get through this... something shocking has happened and I want to tell you about it... but first, stop making me worried..." Sasuke muttered as if the girl behind the glass could hear him.
And as if she did, she opened her eyes and smiled, smiled for the first time in months.
A few days later Sasuke was aloud in to visit.
"Sa-ku-ra." He said to get her attention off the book she was reading.
"Yes... Sasuke kun.." She murmured.
He smirked. "There has been an interesting development." He told her.
Her eyes widened. "Is Naruto awake?!" She asked.
He shook his head. "No, but he is showing signs of recovery, besides, that's not the news I wanted to tell you."
"Oh.. then what?" She asked curiously.
He smirked. "You, Haruno Sakura, have worried me. Caused me a great deal of trouble, in the academe you even stalked me, and it would seem, I've fallen in love with you." Emotionlessly said.
Sakura was so shocked. "You, are not my Sasuke kun."
Sasuke had to repress a chuckle.
