A Night Like This

I once read this quote that had said,
"I woke up in tears an knew I must of been dreaming of you."

I had a dream a few nights ago.
In this dream I was standing next to a man wearing all black.
We had been standing at a graveyard.
I paid no attention to what he was saying... but to the graves around us.
When I looked around, one specific tombstone got my attention.
It was shiny and black, that had read,
"Shilow 8/25/05 -11/27/13"

That was your grave.
I walked over to it to see my father crying on the other side.
I sat down next to him, putting my hand on his shoulder.
As I look at the tombstone with your name written across it,
A tear found its way from my eye to my cheek,
Then from my cheek to my chin and my chin to the ground below.

I woke up with tears streaming down my face tht morning.
I had never known what waking up in tears felt like until the day you passed away.
